Was a quiet weekend, Lucia only return to Shenzhen yesterday, so we just had a quiet evening.
How was the waterpark? Did the boyz have fun? and did you get catch looking at young gals by Mrs. 1R?
Yes, Linux are great at distribution computing, but you still need good interconnect, normal LAN is too slow for it. Would love to do one if I can use it trading, but my broker only have .Net interface.

Thanks, yes the waterpark was a really good time. The weather was great so most of the people stayed outside and stood in long lines.
My family went into the huge indoor one and not too many people and no lines. it was great and my boys said the worst thing about the trip was having to leave. I guess it doesnt get much better.
oh yea, the girl watching was ok. I would say that it was actually a little below average. They were either legal and really fat on average or too young,
About the multiple linux boxes,
not really sure about the computer inter-connects. Cant be that big of a deal though as some of the setups I have read about are pretty cheap.

Regarding Linux. You can easily setup a nice cluster connected via 10 gigabit lan, should be fast enough, especially if your application is properly parallelized. You can also check out infiniband, infinipath, myrinet, etc. Infiniband currently provides best latency and bandwidth. I believe their high end product sports a latency of 1.29 microseconds, with bandwidth of 954 MBps.
