Yoohoo,

Amazing how many successful traders have a pro gambling (egghhh... better to say speculating the gambling games) background...

Vic Sperandeo who's books I appreciate comes to mind first... And though I am not a pro trader yet, but also am able to pull some nice $$ out of poker table when have a need to or just want to have fun... :)

Well, that's a good company to be in odds say (about traders with pro gambler background)... :D

morning,

loss my SOD this morning, and blow pasted my stop.. -45pts, ooch.

still couldn't bring myself to reversal on da wrong, fine that PA signals are really two sided, either you so right, or you are so wrong that, a fail (or mis read) signal often do mean a good signal on the other side, and just before the move..

Morning Will,

Was the 45pt loss planned or something unexpected happened? Or just slippage?

This is what happened today and will continue into Wed. Funds are highly leveraged, when carry trades have to be covered the $$ comes out of the mkts.that carry trades funded. Broad selloffs accross the wider markets are the result. We also have profit taking at obvious highs and the ZEW talking about raising Euro rates.

Asia not looking happy so far.

Always an umbrella of macro awareness to attempt to gain an understanding of the dominant thrust. It can lead to knowing when to overload the boat

blow pasted my stop, was aiming at <20 pts stop loss..

shorted 959@11:10, cover 944@11:21, made back some, this one the stoploss was 10 pts, didn't go well, the large triangle broke to da up size..

still can't bring myself to flip on da go..

Banjo,

I definetely need to learn fundamental picture too as you do... What would you advice to pay special attention to among fundamental factors (in regard to eurusd market)?

Will,

I see... :(

Well, that's HSI, we both know when trading it you should count on a possible adverse slippage (actually positive slippage does happen there too)...

OK , I see you are, Kiwi once told me he trades that on singapore exchange, HGSI or something. I think he said it was better to trade it there for some reason I don't remember, He's in Austraila

Will, are you trading the Honk Kong future?

yes, da current months..

Bj, only a few index futures here, and the HSIF current months have the most liquidity, about 100k open interest, and 50~60k volume each day..

only one oil future, and we have maybe 5k in daily volume etc...
