thinking about using Java charts, instead of using Metastocks (just charts, no need for system programing), would need a 2nd monitor at GF's apartment, she will flip.. :p

wtg CF: love those trades and TA usually nails them as you say. Indicators can give great warnings in quiet markets as well as noisy ones. That kind of "shelf" pause (easily seen on the 5 min)is a real ATM and is a very common set up.

Good use of monentum as well but you need to learn reverses and then reverse again if PA continues.

This one was very easy for a beginner with a bit of knowledge to catch the bottom reversal. In all timeframes one signal of when PA is getting ready to reverse is the bars get shorter (seen in 5 min), stay fluid and then change colour.

The 3-pushes you already know and the falling knife is the fast one.

Use your profits from a good move to be a bit more aggressive if you can see the signal - I don't mean be wreckless (for others benefits, not yours CF):)

That was a skilled trade to enter. I got to do some shopping as there's no food in the house so I'll probably catch you tomorrow as I'll pop into the Cuban for a pepper steak when I'm out.

Yoohoo,

Very valuable advice on price reversal! I read something similar in Steve Nison books regarding analysis of 3 line break charts... But indeed it works great applied to candle charts as well. Will watch and note those reversals to learn them...
