Intermarket Analysis

These thread , or a least new versions of them are not dead. I plan on starting back up soon. I am finishing up a few things and then am going to spend at least a hour or so a day on ET.

In the mean time , please ask whatever questions you want. I will be happy to answer them. Give me an idea of what markets you are interested in so I can prepare the material.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE PRECISE NUMBERS AND FORMULAS, BUT CAN YOU ELABORATE PLEASE, IN A COMPREHENSIVE FASHION, ON WHAT SPECIFIC RELATIONAL FEATURES YOU USE AND HOW YOU USE THEM TO MAKE PREDICTIONS IN YOUR TRADING.

ALSO, WHAT TIMEFRAME AND TRADING INTERVALS DO YOU USE TO TRADE AND IN CONCURRENCE WITH THESE RELATIONSHIPS OR SEPAREATELY IF YOU COMBINE THEM IN A UNIQUE TRADING STYLE?

However, I do think that comparing related movements is benificial. I've been doing it for quite a while now with the Dow, S/P, and Nasdaq Comp. I always called it RELATIONAL ANALYSIS.

Comparing relalated instruments can provide clues that would otherwise remain unknown. It IS a powerful concept!

There is a lot of interest in Crude, Natural Gas. I am trying to find a public source for oil and gas , exploration , refining and production type indexes. There are several of them on both the S&P500 and Nasdaq. I want to find a public source so we can work on this together and everyone can know where to get the data from. We need to get this data in CSV files and we need at least 5 years of history for any index we want to include in this study. I am nail it down to one set of data so that may we can get some help putting this together so we all can share in this research.
 
We could use Energy related Mutual Funds also . I have found that Mutual funds are often good at predicting underlying futures markets. On one of my favorite examples is Fidelity Select Chemical fund to trade Thirty Year bond or Ten Year note. I want a public source of data so we all can share in this process.
 
Real interesting thread. So much information.

But, just wondered as to whether any of you have looked at the intermarket analysis to trade bonds. Have read "John Murphy" book.

But, wanted more information, so decided to search this site, Elite Trader (ET) regarding "Intermarket Analysis Silver"

Had gone through the results and checked them out, but found this particularly interesting:

Interesting thread, guys. Tons of useful info on intermarket analysis.

I'd really like to buy one or two systems from Ruggiero, how exactly do I do that?

I think they have a real edge!
