Interactive Data to Acquire Lycos Inc.’s Quote.com

ARGGGHHHH !!!

when will the new or old crew from the lycos
data feed group get their act together
on a day to day basis ?
since they sold their financial biz to IDC
and esignal ... its really gone done the tubes
as far as I can see ... if someone has a clue
as to why a respectable quote service would
go to pieces at least once a week I should like
to know ...

I have noticed that QCharts has problems almost every day now. I thought maybe it was my ISP, but the other feeds seem to work ok.

ESig people, you really need to get this sorted out quickly or risk having your investment go down the drain. QCharts seemed to finally be reliable before you took over.

Jerry Medved, I hope you can handle a lot of extra business.

I have been having login problems and data
retrieval problems
for live charts - q charts tonight

what alternatives are there to this vendor
who has become less reliable for me in the
last 1-2 months ?

I do not need "all the bells and whistles"

only a reliable data vendor for real time prices
of all exchanges in the USA with perhaps
the option of adding non USA exchanges

I know of course of E signal
and used to use something they offered
called "market center".

Even the Lycos people were doing a better job than eSignal ! I guess IDC acquired their competitor so they can better run it into the ground and increase
eSignal customer base.
Well don't count on it , everybody is starting to hate you IDC.

I agree.

I will cancel my qcharts service the end of this month. The folks from tickquest/neoticker added the features I needed to drop qcharts. Neoticker supports multiple data feeds to ease that "locked in" feeling.

I actually had a great experience with qcharts.. and I was never a big fan. Charts have been lagging less, data was actually more reliable then ever for me. But I concentrate on the CBOT and CME data. I don't see a better alternative for the money unless I go CQG which i can't afford anymore.
