Interactive Brokers TWS Bug Thread

hi,

does anybody experience problems during the US server bounces?

from 12am to 12:30am when the us farm servers are bounced my TWS goes nuts and constantly tries to connect and gets disconnected. The data icon flashes yellow and the usfarm.us connection keeps jumping between green and yellow.

all my reuters news feeds keeps clearing and reloading and its impossible to use TWS during this time. i have called support but they cannot seem to find a solution. i can't understand why no one else besides me would see this issue.
 
Starting with 940.3 the USD.JPY minute chart does not update after the reset which is at 13:00 Tokyo time. Only the minute charts for 1 hour or less work. Anything over 1 hour doesn't. Refreshing doesn't help. As you can see in the attached image there are no bars after 12:59. The image was taken at 15:00.

As there was no problem last Friday, I thought you had fixed it. But it looks as though I was wrong as the problem still exists today as you can see in the attached.

I currently use TWS 936.9 for OS X.

There seems to be a problem with the news feed. For some time now, I have no "breaking news" highlighted in red in my filtered news window, despite the fact that I have subscribed to Reuters News and selected "Major Breaking News" in the news configuration.

If I just select "Reuters News"/"Major Breaking News" and nothing else, no headlines show up in the window. However, all other topics work fine.

There is obviously something wrong.

they restart their servers at this time.
btw-Ib-i was trying to help kefa, I went to your website, on galaxy tab and tried to use search. I suggest you do do same, just to see the mess I saw.
 
Increase/ Decrease Bar Width:

I'm trying to adjust chart bar width with the icons in the chart tools section but nothing is happening, am I doing something wrong or is this feature not working? BTW I upgraded to 9431 over the weekend so this may be a bug.
 
Does anyone know when IB will add a permanent fix to futures options orders not appearing on Option Trader or as the NBBO?

For over a year now, ES futures options orders sporadically appear. Lately it's been just about every weekly. You enter an order and you are the inside bid/ask and the order goes green, but it never shows to anyone. You are indeed live as you can get executed, but you have no idea where the real market is - as you are flying completely blind.

I wrote an IB guy earlier this year and he knew exactly what the problem was...and fixed it...for that week. I've written him a few more times about current weeks recently with no response.
 
Place a SMART (Highest Rebate) non-marketable limit order pre-open in any US stock. Watch the order sit for the entire day on the stock's primary exchange (which is never the highest rebate exchange). It somehow become a static order, no longer subject to SMART routing rules.

Place the identical SMART (Highest Rebate) order during the middle of the trading day, and it will get routed to the proper exchange (NSX, in most cases), and move properly to other exchanges according to normal SMART routing rules.

This is a bug. Two identical SMART-routed orders should not be behaving differently at the same point in time, simply due to the time when each was originally submitted.
