Interactive Brokers just removed $100,000+ from my account

***
Re above questions/comments: I've been trading almost every day for 40 years; mostly futures. I rarely trade less than 100 sides per day; sometimes 1,000 plus. There was no statement to mis-read; my TE was $100k lower, from "Account," which I keep open, on one of my 12 LCD screens; several for IB; most of Sierra Charts. I did check in "Trades," if someone an execution had a really bad price, but not the case.

I'd guess some programmer made an error in updating something. There should be code that prevents that. But since I was told immediately after speaking to customer support that it was a "known issue," IB could have sent me an e-mail immediately. There are other times, when for less impt items, they e-mail.

You forgot to mention you have a huge penis.

Tell IB that you`ll report this case to the relative regulator to see what IB will do.

1, the issue was resolved quickly.
2. you go to a regulator in the brokerage business only after exhausting every other possibility of resolving the issue.
3. you have 2 posts and you are want to be a troublemaker for the sake of being a troublemaker.

final thought:you will get a lot further in life by being a problem solver rather than being a troublemaker.

1.Are you born to have these 10251 posts?
2.I never want to be a troublemaker except protecting my money.
3.It works for me to do that and it`s not so exhausting.

If there was no transfer from your account I assume that it was a bad mark on a position you are holding. This could be a bad quote coming from an exchange, or a bad print which causes IB to mark a position away from fair value. If this happened you would see a dramatic change in your equity without any transfers or erroneous trades in your account.

If it ever happens again, check your positions and where they are "marking" each one.

that is the correct reply. i am not faulting you but if this reply was received early on, it would have eliminated some of the idiotic remarks which were posted later on or then maybe not.

Agree. And all the nonsense from most of the would-be traders, is the reason I'm rarely on the site. Good time to retire my membership.
@FLfutures, pay no mind to @algofy and @FreakofNature. As anyone can easily see, their attempts at contributing to this thread clearly have no worth as they are just failed envious pikers who lack the capacity to add value (which is perhaps the source of their frustration and vitriol). Your posts are much appreciated as I have been trying to obtain yesterday's Statement from IB and it is still not available--which is likely a related issue.
