does anyone know if IB's Show Volatility button under OptionTrader that converts all option bid/ask to % volatility is the historical or implied volatility, or something else? It has a different percent value than the Imp. Vol column that's right next to it. thanks

In addition, a new item has been added to the Settings page of the OptionTrader Global Configuration to “Show option prices in volatility.” If checked, all new OptionTrader pages created will display prices in volatility. A new button, Show volatility, has also been added to the OptionTrader toolbar and can be used to display prices in volatility on the current page.

Implied on bid and ask separately. The Imp. Vol column is based on bid/ask *average*. All are derived from Option Model settings.
