Intelligent Design is not creationism

And, it's no good that jem runs out and immediately purchases the book to cover his ass, now, because he's been quoting from the book as if he's owned it, continuously for over a month in this thread. So, unless, just today, only minutes before I requested that he quote that particular passage from the book, he suddenly loaned it out, returned it to the library, dropped it in a puddle of water, etc., then jem has obviously never read Susskind's book, and he really has no clue about what it says, at page 39, or at any other page.

Ouch. Looks like you just got outed, jem...again.

Great to see you admit your assertions are indigestible waste material, with your appeal to the expertise of another on such matters. Normally, I would have expected a cat like you to be much more defensive and argumentative...

Nice to see you not objecting when someone points out the odoriferous nature of your assertions...

As usual, you are confused. What I am acknowledging is your claim to expert knowledge of indigestible waste material. Nothing more nor less.

Anyway, as a Christian, I enjoy reading about evolution, cosmology, and astronomy and physics. Watch many of the shows on PBS that deal with such subjects such as NOVA. Visit websites about it especially the current Mars missions and the latest finds. So
what if at the end of the day I look at it all as God's creation. In my mind, it doesn't discredit the often gallant work that many have undertaken to understand our existence.

First let me say that my drawing a parallel between Islamic fundamentalists and radical Christians was perhaps a bit inflammatory (I admit this to you but not to the main participants of this thread on the ID/C side :) ). My comments here are informed by what I perceive to be a process of assertion, evasion and obfuscation carried out by those who are in here attempting to make a case for ID/C. I do see these people in here as akin to the Islamic right.

Your point about gay marriage is exactly the point I am trying to make. What in the hell does it have to do with me? The answer is - nothing. There are a lot of examples of this kind of thing. I have often said that I know that the mainstream of Christians do not buy into these pointless, demoralizing beliefs.

If you and I sat down to discuss cosmology, astronomy or physics, and I knew you were a Christian, I would never dream of assuming that I needed to filter your comments or arguments through the filter of my knowledge about your religious belief. I would simply listen to what you have to say. In your case I am 100% positive that you would carry out such a discussion without needing to refer to your religious belief, although some of your interpretations may well be informed by it. I'm pretty sure that you're a graduate of the 'Let's just stick to the facts, shall we?' school of dialectic thought.

Even though you absolutely did not suggest this, I want to make it clear that I am not so stupid as to assume that a Christian could not be a brilliant researcher, scientist, or theoretician. The ID/C types in here... about them, I have my doubts, because their arguments are not based in fact but in assertion and appeal to authority.

Anyhow, thanks for your reply and please be assured that I do not intend to denigrate your brand of faith in any way. I have a faith based belief as well - it's a belief that when I play music in a live setting, with other really good musicians, the process of doing that has a 'positive' effect on my physical body and my overall health. I don't think Western science has a machine or diagnostic to measure this yet, but I believe in it with all my heart. So we all have faith in something.

Yes, then we agree, if you deem me an expert, that my observation of your assertions are nothing less than indigestible waste...

Glad to see you finally coming around to acceptance of "where you live..."

Yes, then we agree, if you deem me an expert, that my observation is correct as it pertains to your assertions constituting nothing more or less than indigestible waste...

Glad to see you finally coming out of your confusion to an reality based acceptance of "where you live..."

lol... Z's only riff is word games, kj. These twisting and turnings don't even merit a response. See how he makes an ad hominem post and then lasciviously clicks on it multiple times and decides to change it subtly, making it even more offensive.

Is there any better proof that posting crap on this website is Z's life?

Absolutely pathetic waste of bandwidth.

If you look at it all as God's creation, you will be misled, that's what.

I encourage everyone to click on the link given in the OP on this thread. It is illuminating indeed.

Someone can correct me if there is no such thing as the Evangelical Center For Faith-Based Reasoning and if there was never any such assertion made by anyone in a position of power in the ID camp.

:) It's been reported that I ascended in front of 500 witnesses. So much for the "law" of gravity.

Yes. Faith enough to move mountains, used to keep mountains in place. Resurrection has a positive effect on health I believed with all my heart.
