This ad hominem diversion is a tacit admission that you are willing to declare something absolute which you know that you cannot prove, in order to prevail in an argument where the facts are assembled against you.

So, I'll merely return to my original point: uncertainty exists and is scientifically demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt, therefore, as information gain from a random start is mathematically proven, evolution is possible.

The opposing view: that the universe is designed, is based only upon the bare assertion of those who proclaim it true.

When asked to prove their position with evidence, the response is an ad hominem attack, such as the one above.

However, you're right about one thing, Z: they do have psychiatrists to deal with that!
 
It is okay with me if you think your thoughts are coming from somewhere else but your own mind.

Oh, uncertainty exists in the mind...but that doesn't mean that beyond the mind there is genuine uncertainty in the workings of nature.

Oh, and any time you want to show how to measure the physical properties of thoughts, ideas, and concepts...please proceed.

The King of Assertion/Denial is back!!!

Rumour had it that he was no longer among the living. No such luck. He probably got sick of getting his ridiculous assertions hammered into the ground.

kj, you may be able to gain membership in the most rarefied club here on ET - those members whom the Disgusting Troll has been forced to put on ignore, because he can't handle their dismantling of his absurd 'arguments'.

Please remember, for the purposes of this thread, that the Disgusting Troll has recanted his Christian beliefs at least twice in his life, and has converted back and forth between at least three of the world's major religions. Not a pillar of intellectual strength, clearly.

Z only argues from personal authority. He requires no evidence, and in fact, his theory of existence is based on everything being a matter of his own opinion.

Examine his last post to me: first he denies uncertainty in the universe; then he acknowledges uncertainty as a mental construct; then he covers himself by stating that mental uncertainty is true, but physical uncertainty is false.

So, according to Z, uncertainty only exists where it can't undermine Z's argument against creationism. Which is hilarious, because if, as Z contends, all things come from God, then so must this concept of mental uncertainty. Yet, if even mental uncertainty exists, this means that some things in the universe are beyond the powers of even God to control.

Which, of course, means that God is not almighty, because another force exists: uncertainty -- which in the end, undermines Z's argument.

I think it's as rational a possibility as any other.

It's absolutely possible for an extremely powerful supreme being to be the product of evolutionary processes. Moreover, the idea that God is not perfect would explain why the universe seems so perverse to us.
