Osorico :)
Moore's Law...
the number of transistors that can be inexpensively placed on an integrated circuit is increasing exponentially, doubling approximately every two years.

Just ordered essentially the same exact set-up last Friday via the Dell Business Outlet refurbished site for $499 on Windows XP, without the monitor.

Cancelled it today because I found the same set-up BUT with a 3.0 GHz Duo Core processor instead of the 2.66 for a mere $519.

1-year warranty same as new.

Unreal.
I LOVE DELL!!!

Were they really that expensive in those days? I was around 9 yrs old at the time so don't have a clear grasp of prices from back then. For some reason I thought these and the C-64 were about $400, which was a lot of money for the time (circa 1980).

I think it was about '78... it wasn't a C-64, but rather some kind of "business class" computer... think it had a printer, too.

In about '82, I paid $3,000 for an IBM with 64K of RAM... no hard drive, but 2 floppy drives...
