Mighty INTC couldn't make the yield target in 10nm and have to port its 11th gen back to 14nm. Finally, its 12th gen(Alder Lake) is in 10nm/7nm. Stuck at 14nm for many years. With vertical, one can control its destiny in term of capacity. In a sinking ship like AMD once was, they have to throw away everything to keep the ship afloat. IF TSMC for some unkown reason, cannot deliver the Ryzen wafer, AMD screwed 10x over. There is no second source option for AMD !
