Intel a buy?

Waaaaay down from highs. Check. Just slashed dividends massively. Check. Seems to have chips out/coming out that can be a match, or more than a match, for AMD. At least for general desk top use. But don't quote me on this last one - I don't pay much attention to the chip space, saw someone on here say it and just read a few articles online.

Anyways, time to scoop up a little INTC?

I'm long Intel but I think it will be years before I win.

It's less important who has the absolute fastest processor. It's more important how much they sell and what their profit is.
I'm buying the company not a single chip for a CPU drag race

Agree engineering. I don't know about profit per chip, but I know that Intel released some new chips that are very competitive with the AMD chips generally at low, mid and high ends, generally, both from an absolute performance perspective and a price/performance perspective.

INTC is behind TSMC in wafer fab technology i.e. TSMC already in mass production 5nm node and working on its 3nm node. In processor, INTC is trading blow with AMD. INTC's GPU is at least 1 generation behind AMD and NVDA. The chart is not showing uptrend.

The only reason to buy INTC is because the government is giving away the farm trying to bring chip making back into the US.

Even INTC can’t screw this one up (or can they?)

That being said, the factories won’t be built for years. Plenty of time to wait for even cheaper prices.

Time to ignore INTC, and scoop up NVDA. Who the hell wants to buy a company that just slashed their dividend? All the dividend mutual funds and ETFs are going to dump them now. Hell, I'm going to drop them from my high-divided portfolio, because they no longer fit the bill.
