% institutional vs retail in stocks

Does anybody either know, or know where I can find data regarding make up of daily trading volume? Specifically, I'm wondering what % of daily volume in stocks is institutional trading vs retail.

i used to know a while back...but it has changed. I think you will find that the VAST majority is institutional. way more than 50% in any given market. for some reason 5% retail sticks in my mind for equities.

I've been looking for information from the exchanges, but I can't even seem to find it there. I think it would be interesting to know for sure.

Anyone else have any idea, or guesses?
