Inspiring video for traders!

Quote from TRS:

They do here.

See how this plays out.

Maybe someone invented a forum where membership required a legitimate trading account with an adequate balance to clear futures.

Great business opportunity - filter out all of the hacks and trolls. Actual trading discussion with input from persons actually knowledgeable in the art.

that does not exist here in ET... no way, shape or form

I was being cynical.

Apologies if you feel misquoted.

I totally missed the sarcasm... would have chuckled for sure if we were sitting face to face over a beer (wine, scotch, soft drink)

no need to apologize for good humor... I apologize for having it sail over my head :p

There are actually very good, size traders that read certain posts and threads here but never contribute. I have signed well-credentialed clients with substantial trading accounts who have been members here on ET since the early 2000's but never post. They just abhor the trolls and punters and posers. They will actually search for specific topic queries and scroll through for anything worthwhile. And given the way things have deteriorated the past few years, the scrolling can get rather tedious.

I have met and become friends with some serious professional traders from this forum who no longer actively post or have never posted at all. I value their internet friendship highly.

From austinp:

"I don't have time to sign up for things that are kept a mystery at the time of registration. For all anyone knows right now, it could be an offer to cure impotence in over-stressed traders."

I don't appreciate you criticizing what seems like a valuable service for me. Please keep your thoughts to yourself from now on.:D

Seriously, austinp is dead on. And what's with asking for the broker you're using? So they want name, contact info, broker, etc. Instead of open trader how about open access - as in access to YOUR personally identifiable info.

Maybe I'm just automatically biased against any forum that competes against ET.

truly amazing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwKYjZ_8EcE

Personally I wouldn't choose "amazing" to describe that video, though I do agree that in a certain context that description would be apropos. As a trader, that video struck me as one of the funniest I have ever seen, hilarious really, and so sarcastic!

Judging from trading magazine covers, I get the impression that in reality the appearance of successful traders closely resembles that of elderly casino addicts, i.e., pasty white and flabby with wrinkled skin from smoking. :D

Thanks for the laughs.
