Insiders reveal worrying new details of Biden's cognitive decline with 81-year-old president now often incomprehensible and regularly freezing in meetings: 'He's not the same person'

Joe Biden's cognitive decline has become readily apparent to dozens of high-ranking officials in recent months, a bombshell new report claims.

More than 45 Republican and Democratic lawmakers and staffers offered insight on the subject, citing recent mistakes by the commander-in-chief they found concerning.

Aired in the midst of an election year, the report paints a picture of a president considerably slower than days' past, while the White House maintains the 81-year-old is still a top leader.

The dozens who spoke to The Wall Street Journal disagreed - describing a president who today speaks so softly that some struggle to even understand what he's saying.

Others pointed to the commander-in-chief's declining grasp of important policy details, and increasing reliance on notes and impromptu offerings from aides.

Several said Biden's demeanor varies by the day - as the White House reportedly went through great pains to keep tabs on what Democrats were saying. The report, titled 'Behind Closed Doors, Biden Shows Signs of Slipping', published Tuesday.

WASHINGTON—When President Biden met with congressional leaders in the West Wing in January to negotiate a Ukraine funding deal, he spoke so softly at times that some participants struggled to hear him, according to five people familiar with the meeting. He read from notes to make obvious points, paused for extended periods and sometimes closed his eyes for so long that some in the room wondered whether he had tuned out.

In a February one-on-one chat in the Oval Office with House Speaker Mike Johnson, the president said a recent policy change by his administration that jeopardizes some big energy projects was just a study, according to six people told at the time about what Johnson said had happened. Johnson worried the president’s memory had slipped about the details of his own policy.

Last year, when Biden was negotiating with House Republicans to lift the debt ceiling, his demeanor and command of the details seemed to shift from one day to the next, according to then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and two others familiar with the talks. On some days, he had loose and spontaneous exchanges with Republicans, and on others he mumbled and appeared to rely on notes.

“I used to meet with him when he was vice president. I’d go to his house,” McCarthy said in an interview. “He’s not the same person.”

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough destroyed the Wall Street Journal over a “Trump hit piece” on President Joe Biden that relied on Republicans as sources — including one who previously contradicted what he told them.

Annie Linskey and Siobhan Hughes dropped a lengthy piece Tuesday night that relied on dozens of anonymous Republican sources and one on-the-record source — former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) — to claim there are “signs of slipping” in President Biden’s conduct at several meetings. No Democrats are quoted — anonymously or not — making such claims, and many said the opposite on the record.

On Wednesday morning’s edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Scarborough, and co-host Mika Brzezinski went off on the piece and pointed out that the paper’s main source — McCarthy — had praised Biden in private and in public at the time of those meetings even as he tried to mock the president:

Somewhat ironically and laughably y'all will recall that six months ago the official defense of Biden was to line up all sorts of people to say that the Biden was the brightest bulb in the universe behind closed doors despite what the media says/portrays. People like Bill Maher and others were saying "well, when do we get to see it?"

If history is any guide we will be seeing a letter soon that is signed by 50 former senior DC officials saying that they have spoken with Biden recently and they have never seen him - or anyone for that matter- sharper that Joe. He is amazing, just seems to be getting stronger and sharper with age and the wisdom is flowing out of every poor.

Kamala benefits from this scam too. She is dumber than dogsh#t but there is an ongoing collusion in the Beltway to try to portray her a silent but effective change agent and genius who is quietly accomplishing world peace, advancing artificial intelligence on her calculator, curing herpes or something.

Meanwhile, Biden is deemed to be too far gone in the head to prosecute and stand trial for criminal mishandling of documents, but still good enough to be leader of the Free World.

My prime concern with Joe Biden is he has his finger on that nuclear button and he might just press it. Some of his advisors actually, believe the US will win over Russia in case of a nuclear war. Delusion at its highest from the guy at the top to this advisers around him. Take note gentlemen that Russia has produced the largest nuclear missile ever called the Sarmat and now deployed in the Russian nuclear arsenal. Guess where that missile is targeted at? And I would imagine that the Russians made more than 1 of that Sarmat nuclear missile.
 
How can anyone not see that Biden is at the top his game? He has an insurmountable lead in the polls, mainly because the economy is so strong. Inflation has plummeted!! Plummeted I tell you. Just the other day he single handedly secured the border, and without a single Republican vote! He's the strongest President we've ever had!
