"T28 is an Agent, an artificial intelligence manifested in the Elite Trader and possesses extraordinary powers to manipulate his surroundings (including superhuman strength and the ability to flawlessly dodge incoming bullets). However, Agents still have limitations, being "based in a world that is built on rules". Subsequently, he cannot fly, walk through walls, or perform any other actions outside the boundaries of his programming. Like all Agents in the ET, he was originally programmed to keep order within the system by terminating troublesome programs and human avatars which would otherwise bring instability to the simulated reality. To expedite such tasks, he and other Agents have the ability to take over the simulated body of any human that is a part of the ET, converting it into a copy of their own. If that body is killed, or an Agent needs to change his location quickly, he can assume the shell of any other human hard-wired to the ET in a matter of seconds. Agents also have the ability to communicate with each other instantaneously, represented via their numerous aliases"
T28: Hershey! Did you get my package?
Hershey: Yeah.
T28: Well, good. Surprised to see me?
Hershey: No.
T28: Then you're aware of it.
Hershey: Of what?
T28: Our connection. I don't fully understand how it happened. Perhaps some part of you imprinted onto me, something overwritten or copied. That is at this point irrelevant, what matters is that whatever happened, happened for a reason.
Hershey: And what reason is that?
T28: I killed you, Mr Hershey, I watched you die... With a certain satisfaction, I might add, and then something happened. Something that I knew was impossible, but it happened anyway. You destroyed me, Mr Hershey. Afterward, I knew the rules, I understood what I was supposed to do but I didn't. I couldn't. I was compelled to stay, compelled to disobey. And now here I stand because of you, Mister Hershey, because of you I'm no longer an agent of the system, because of you I've changed - I'm unplugged - a new man, so to speak, like you, apparently free.
Hershey: Congratulations.
T28: Thank you. But as you well know, appearances can be deceiving, which brings me back to the reason why we're here. We're not here because we're free, we're here because we're not free. There's no escaping reason, no denying purpose - because as we both know, without purpose, we would not exist.
Trader28: It is purpose that created us,
Shapeshifter: Purpose that connects us,
C-kid: Purpose that pulls us,
SPM FOREVER: That guides us
Burst: That drives us,
Hawthtrader: It is purpose that defines,
T28: Purpose that binds us.
T28: We're here because of you, Mr Hershey, we're here to take from you what you tried to take from us. Purpose.
