Inside The Cryptocurrency Revolution | VICE on HBO

I know that it is hard to argue with cultist or true believers, but I think Dozu is right, most likely the scam will end badly. Had it not been for fake shit like tethers, it would have been sub 1k and probably much lower. Think about it, we need to deposit cash to buy it, but bitfinance just creates tethers out of thin air and uses them to buy bitcoin. Ain’t it great for them, but they rely on fools to fleece them.

@johnarb: thanks for posting this. Don't get tilted by this troll dozu. He doesn't even trade and cannot understand the difference between tokens and coins. His opinion on the subject is worth zero.

Back to topic. From 2020, crypto custody is officially regulated and licensed in Germany, France starts a Central Bank Digital Currency, in the US digital assets are treated and taxed like securities, Wyoming even passed a specific bill in March 19.

Import/export in Asia choses US stablecoins over fiat money since settlement is instant and costs are low. Economy is most fragmented there so no wonder they are the most crypto progressive. Singapur, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand all issued crypto friendly legislation.

And although it's prohibited to buy crypto without the use of a bank account, the peer2peer BTC trade is going through the roof in Argentina. Pretty hard to kill a transfer method that only needs the memorizing of a couple of digits, right?

Asia, Latin America and Africa are first adopters, so the "revolution" already happened there.

After all, there is nothing to stop money on distributed ledger technology. It's fast, it's cost effective and surveilance options are second to none for governments.

if you have accurate macro view you don't need to 'trade'.... I made a lot with very few mouse clicks.. I am not a permabull... made a lot during 2000-2002 with a lot of clicks (day trading).

you have just supported my view... a lot of shit hole places adopt... but the world doesn't have a lot left after you remove USA, Europe and China.

I posted about FaceCoin PrimeCoin AlphaCoin, how they will have global instant adoption, then Mark wanted to do Libra and got instantly killed.

also your post looks like typical reddit /bitcoin cult post.... and what a cult that is... every 7-11 start to accept btc it's a festival there... and zero tolerance on opposing views... I once made a negative comment in a fact-of-matter way, I got banned by the sub.... it's a safe space where brain washed zombies hand pain killing and delusion pills to each other.

I have been an IT consultant for 20 years and follow all fronts of technologies closely... I know how much a tech is worth, roughly, hence the $100b market cap for the entire space, to be generous.. can easily go to $50b..... not long ago the space was around $300b, on par with masterCard.... use your brain to think for 5 seconds if some grassroots shit with virtually zero practical use is worth that much.

the crypto tech itself is no big deal, that's why anybody can put in a few bucks to issue his own coin... and the 'mining' idea is the absolute worst because there is no other choice.. it's like a world wide lottery system... insanity.

and when I said the only real way to make money is to issue your own coin you know I am right.... I know somebody who actually did this with modest success... also know a bunch of kids tried to set up an exchange but failed.

revolution, by definition, attracts the losers under the current system, because they cannot get ahead...

you can revolute all you want, but we have gone way past the stage in history when a revolution is still possible.

back in the days when information/goods/people travel slow, you can have localized pockets where some riot may start and have some chance to grow, to the point it can't be killed then it eventually take over as the new king.... this is a revolution.

nowadays we have 24/7/365 monitoring of everything... the current power will never allow any real threat to grow... hence the instant death of Libra.... your post seemed to suggest that Libra someday will be approved.... that my friend must be a concept from the /bitcoin cult.... if you don't have the sense of smell why it died so quickly and there is no chance it ever gets approved, then you don't really have a sense of smell and you don't really understand how money, market, society, power works.

Dozu, I'm not talking to you. You have no concept of an educated discussion. You have an opinion that is undermined with more opinion.

You don't trade, you don't research, why are you even here? I already told you that I don't invest in crypto, yet still you keep babbling over the tinfoil hat stuff you keep making up. The amount of bullshit you are able to put out in a single post is just mindblowing. :D

On top of that, calling everything else but the US, EU and China a shithole place...really?

For real, dude. Put the banjo and the shotgun away and get out of your swamp. Blocked
