Its not even on the Reg SHO list and option open interest is tiny so not sure how many naked shorts there can be out there, especially in the current regulatory environment.

It seems like a hell of a gamble with very poor risk reward banking everything on an improbable (give the data so far)catalyst to release the loaded (assuming you are right as I don't see much load) spring.

Good luck, seems like a lottery play to me which is why I don't play the pennies, and biotechs with a story and little else. If you can make money doing so more power to you.
 
Numbers are deceiving. You make a good point though. I won't go into it publicly, but PM me if your curious about my counterpoint, and I will tell you how to determine if a company is a target for a naked short campaign even if its not on the Reg SHO list. Its been determined more than the current outstanding float of this company is currently a naked short position. In essence the spring is very much loaded.

PS... if you are long, you will likely lose in the option premium because the FDA is delaying events by months and even years recently.. so an option style trade is not not going to work.

If you believe you are right, then dont own more than 2-3% of your equity in the position.
 
Always do your DD, Adam F. is a former lifestyles writer, who wasn't even allowed into certain oncology conferences. He is not in the least credible. He is biased and there is a reason why the articles on the street.com are free, and its not the quality. I'll take the wall street journal and peer reviewed medical journals any day.

Back to the subject though, you may be right, it could get delayed, it could not. It could have european approval and a partnership deal in the mean time. If the drug is granted priority review it won't be delayed. Its up in the air, but which ever catalyst takes place, the right setup exists .

If you don't agree thats one thing, I respect that. To say something is an absolute, because someone on the street.com told you so is self explanatory, and border line ludicrous reasoning. Do your own due diligence, regurgitating the latest street.com "mail bag" verbal diarrhea doesn't count. Adam F's record is so horrid its not even funny. A little on the mean side, but wouldn't mind seeing him dead on a street somewhere, I'm sure he has lost a lot of innocent people quite a bit of money.
