Just watched Trump give a great speech on the infrastructure rebuild. I would hope that all can get onboard with that. It is the best way to put the average blue collar American back on a job that pays well. Trump on infrastructure, yes. Trump on keeping the supreme court from going radical left, yes. Trump on trying to call a spade a spade on illegal immigration, yes. Trump on trying to put up some common sense roadblocks to thwart terrorists from entering our country, yes. These are important issues and I'll tolerate his Twitter nonsense, his less than perfect handling of political hacks, his need to respond to every little thing. Get the big stuff done. Leftist, get onboard or get steamrolled.

How is Trump going to pay for this Infrastructure rebuild? Is proposed plan that he would simply provide tax credits and the infrastructure would magically be built by companies simply does not make sense. The federal government has to provide money to pay companies to rebuild infrastructure. Is Trump going to raise taxes or sell bonds to raise this money?

Well for starters, the poor have way more than they actually need and job creators animal spirits will be released if we cut something and we can have a small spirit tax to pay for it all.

I wrote to the Obama admin 8 years ago about how it's perfectly proven and doable to use 25 square miles of the Mojave Desert to generate all the electricity for the entire Western Hemisphere. Mexico could do it even better with their Sonoran Desert, it's hotter... Piping it out over million volt lines as we now do with hydroelectric power from the Pacific Northwest to California in the summertime is also perfectly doable up to a distance limit. They did some limp-wristed moves like giving hundreds of millions to solar companies that took the money and went bk. So yesterday I wrote to the Trump admin with the same info. I did my little part... not holding my breath here because the rest of the energy sector would have to step aside and they own plenty of politicians...

Probably with a tax, which I addressed in a different thread awhile back. A percent or two off the top to get the work is something every blue collar worker can relate to. You wanna work at some shit job, or you wanna good job? Hard hats understand that. Everyone else, you wanna actually grow the real economy across the board, or is that just lip service to get votes. Tax breaks to billionaire corporate types ain't gonna do shit on the job front. Stock market can go to 30,000, means nothing to the real economy. Cut the shit. People supported Trump so they can get back to a good job. Infrastructure rebuild provides that opportunity and there is no close second idea. Don't do it and the masses will continue to fall behind while a very few ride the golden surf. That happens, say hello to a Sanders style socialist in 2020.
I would have voted Sanders, were he the democratic candidate. I know, that will provoke significant anger from my conservative brethren. But the way I figured it, Sanders would never have been able to pass his socialist agenda with congress, but what he would be able to do is go after Wall Street. In my opinion, that is one sheep that needs a fleecing.
