Information on how different economic announcements affect different industries

Hello everyone,

Had a look through the forum but could not find an answer to my question.

I would like to know where can I information (articles, books etc) on how different economic announcements affect different industries in the stock market(ideally FTSE) ?

I know IEA announcements every Wednesday affect the oil industry, Brent and WTI prices. On the same thought monthly interest rates probably affect banking stocks ... well they would if they would actually change something.

Any ideas are welcomed!
 
Excel, Quandl, Fred.
Statistical Dependence.
Correlation, Covariance, Scatter Plot.

I am starting to realise that the best way to see all of these relations is to study the markets and economic releases; I thought that there most at least one book/website that list these but then again it seems like it is valuable info.

Some other key words would be :
Econometrics & Global Macro (Ray Dalio...)
Tried to find specific links but can't help that much.
Sorry I am not really into this kind of analysis.
But the best way to get things done,
It's to learn the theory / tools.

The data is free and accessible.
Daily and higher analysis is not that complicated.

There are no hard and fast rules... The picture is especially muddled for the FTSE, since a very large percentage of revenues generated by the FTSE constituents comes from outside the UK (75% or more vs 33% for the S&P 500).
 
I think I try and find a few books on the subject; something on the lines of Sector rotation and also just like K-Pia said do a daily analysis and just compare industry movement with key financial releases.

I didn't know that most FTSE constituents get their revenue from outside UK. That's helpfull stuff so thank you Martinghoul.
