Inflation pushes retiree back into workforce after 20 years: 'I need compensation'

Everybody ‘works’. I think it would be really ‘insane’ to hang all day at the beach. You can do it for a few weeks, but after that you would be bored as h*ll.
When you don’t have enough money you need to work for a company/government. When you have enough money you have to manage your money, which is also ‘work’. Look at all the (really) wealthy entrepreneurs, they don’t stop.
A lot of people fall between.
 
Knowing what I know now about having a job and having a business (trading) providing you income, a business (trading) is much more rewarding and less stressful. I worked 20 years in a job because most people are brought up to think that is the way to succeed in life. Yet, most of the rich people are either at the top of food chain as CEOs or business owners who are still at the top of the food chain and generate huge amounts of income. Add to that, they have business expenses ordinary employees do not have that can reduce their taxes. Robert Kiyosaki opened my eyes and learning to be a good trader opened my eyes to other avenues of earning decent amounts of monies for less effort than a 9 to 5 job. Knowing what I know now, I would have quit my 9 to 5 job a long time ago and not spent 20 years at it. Maybe, only 5 years at the 9 to 5 job and become a full time trader instead. Being retired, I use my time to do what I want to enjoy life and trade too at the same time. I become a competent stock and options trader later in life so, cannot bring back time. Still, there is still a world of opportunity to make monies in the stockmarket, every single day.

I don't believe in retirement, it like waiting to die. I love what I do, trying to take last nickel from those who lack knowledge. Life is good.
 
Just move to Italy.

The country is in a death-spiral, can't service its debt and is now taking even MORE loans out just to appease the retirees and pay out more benefits (insane or what?). No politician wants to go against the trend and lose votes. So... future generations will pay, and guess who will ask Europe for a bailout.
