Inflation at 53-year low as QE money printing rages unabated!

Quote from Lucrum:

The TRUE inflation rate is something like 8%.

So what's rectum cheering about?
He keeps hoping that eventually the Fed will mail him his billion dollar QE check.

So he can invest in more oil service equipment? Contributing to AGW. Then whine like a bitch that the ice is melting?

Import and Export Prices

"The economy may be picking up steam based on this morning's jobless claims report which hints at strength in the jobs market and this morning's retail sales report which points to strength in consumer spending. But what steam there may be isn't yet inflationary, based at least on import & export prices where minus signs sweep the data.

"Import prices fell 0.6 percent in May which is the third straight decline. Export prices fell 0.5 percent which is also a third straight decline. Year-on-year rates are mostly negative with non-fuel import prices down 1.1 percent which is a recovery low.

"Import prices excluding petroleum imports are down 0.3 percent in the latest month which points to weakness in core prices. And import prices for finished goods are either dead flat or inching lower. And the same is true for export prices of finished goods which is especially unwelcome for US manufacturers.

"Ben Bernanke referred to the risk of "incipient deflation" in his testimony late last month in Washington and data such as today's underscore his warning. Today's report points to similar price action for both Friday's producer price report and Tuesday's report on the consumer side."

Look at DRYS. The world economy is stagnating. It's the Fed that needs inflation to stay afloat. The middle class wouldn't be all that hurt by some deflation. The Public Sector's tax revenues would fall and their loan payments would effectively be greater so I'm thinking, yeah, inlation, bring it... there's no other way to shrink the Public Sector, can't vote it in..

Check out the Obama economy! Welfare statism at it's best...

Well shit, I wonder what type of drugs I'm on. I could swear I'm paying higher prices for food and energy. My personal budget verifies that. Must be one hell of a hallucination I'm having.

Same here, must be having hallucinations.

The real inflation rate is about 8% here in the states.

Of course the true number of unemployed is nearly double the reported unemployed number.

And our true debt is much more than the reported debt number.

Government reported economic statistics have become nothing more than feel good numbers for the ignorant masses. Who are all too happy to see us continue to postpone addressing our problems with any real solutions.

The real solution in Barry O's mind: after the collapse he rides in on a white horse and declares himself "the true representative [and owner] of the people".

McDonald's is considering adding $2 and even $5 items to it's "$1 menu".

Apparently they didn't get rectum's memo on inflation.
