Inflation at 53-year low as QE money printing rages unabated!

I need to add kids shoes to the list.

you get plastic lame pieces of crap for 40 bucks -- sometimes that is the sale price.

I am talking size 2 pieces of garbage I would not even want to put a mannequins foot in.

You shouldn't be in the store buying retail. My wife buys my son's shoes on ebay or consignment stores. He's growing so fast and beats the crap out of them at the playground anyway, so why pay full retail?

that might handle the price aspect to some degree.

but these plastic shoes (which sort of mask inflation) are also true pieces of crap.
I recently spent 200 bucks for a pair of ecco golf shows that have real yak leather.
the plastic in most athletic shoes today are garbage for the same price real used to get leather shows for.
So yeah china brought the price down... but so did substitute materials.

now inflation has jacked the those prices up to where show prices used to be.

I think I might have mentioned that I work for a large CPG company that has about 55 or so branded items in your local grocery store. We just got news today we'll be taking price increases on beef and pork items. The retailers (your food stores) will be seeing these price increases in the next 30 days.
 
Gas Prices Hit 13-Month Highs, Prompt Macro Concerns

At $3.67, US Regular gasoline prices are their highest since March 2013 having risen over 12% (40c) in the last 2 months. This must be great news, right? It must mean world demand is picking up and driving up prices of crude oil as global trade soars (amid a collapsing Baltic Dry and decelerating Chinese growth). This can't be related to "war premia" right? - as we noted here - because stocks (which always know best) have discounted all this tomfoolery. However, as the following chart shows, each time gas prices have surged up toards the Maginot Line of $3.80, US macro-economic fundamentals have collapsed... the only problem is, this time is different - because macro data is already weak going in (and expectations for the post-weather pop are high).

Gas prices heading towards the crucial $3.80 level - and US macro is already weak ahead of this turning point...

Kind of off topic but how did you like the shoes? ive been looking for a new pair myself because i get terrible shin splints after walking 18 on a long course. Ive tried like 15 different pairs but no solution so far.

I wear the eccos when I am taking a cart with friends. They feel great but they have a bit of a heel rise. (I should have bought a different pair of eccos).

I figured out that like runners I should have zero drop shoes or close to it.
(road runners seem to be touting zero drop.)

I walk the course 3-4 evenings a week and my feet and legs were bugging me.
I switch to zero drop hiking shoes and my body feels much better.
(I am also working on the theory that most golf shoes are too heavily "constructed" for walking.
Runners tell me that they now believe that if you want to avoid injuries you whole foot needs to be working. )

So for me its zero drop when walking.
Not sure about the range yet.
