40 mbps is way sufficient for what you are doing.I actually don't have much of an issue with it really. I trimmed down my layout from 7 monitors (in my office) to just three (laptop + two externals). Most of what I do is pretty simplistic, so I don't need the best of the best, however I will certainly be upgrading to the 80mbps here shortly since it's only an extra $10/month. I don't play games or anything like that, so for me it's only needed for signal and basic web browsing.
I'd be curious to know how much of that bandwidth you are really using....View attachment 303395
Wife is thrilled that I am running Cat6 over the baseboard and door frames to get to my office.
more importantly no drops now.
I got this today, ditched my MESH, and am getting 2.1 downstream. Incredible. I downloaded a 40Gb movie off the NGs and it took less than two minutes.

Getting 80 mbps or more will have no effect at all.
'mpbs' is not the speed per say, but the bandwidth, or the amount of data you can receive/send per second, not the speed at which you can receive/send them.
Ethernet is technically superior in terms of performance, but this might not be a bad alternative to running cables all over the interior of the house. Have never tried it.
