Well, no shit Sherlock Greenspan? It's a bloody futures contract? It is a contract to buy or sell, not an obligation to move the actual product? Ug.

Well, the idea is that the futures follow the underlying market. If there is no physical settlement, that linkage can be rather tenuous.
