China is the most homogeneous country in the world, and not having to deal with diversity related problems is a big advantage. While diverse counties have to worry about race riots, affirmative action, religious wars, and large scale disunity, China can stay focus on development. Samuel Huntington mentioned this in his book: "Clash of Civilizations ..."

Now, this doesn't mean that China doesn't or won't have any diversity related problems. It just means relative to others, they have very small amounts of it. They have the occasional Urgher and Tibetan flares up, but both of those two minority populations have been pretty much subdued.

I concur. Peter Schiff has said that one major advantage of China is that China is not a democracy. There is no historic correlation between democracy and economic well being.

In my opinion, we in the US are under an invisible or indirect slavery, not much different from the colonial times.

Taxation: The ultimate slave master is the IRS, which owns 40% of my hard labor. Everybody in the US is an economic slave. Who owns property also owns the labor of renters through indirect slavery. Mortages (Latin: mort- death; gage- grip) make banks the owners of the labors of mortgagees.

How much taxes do ordinary Chinese pay? Read the recent "Economist."

What good is the freedom of speech, freedom of this and that crap, when you can't even keep what you make? For me, I strongly believe economic freedom, rather than economic slavery, is a higher ranking card than freedom of babbling. Democracy and freedom in the West is really just a sham; it is a disguise and diversion to prevent us from asking for real economic freedom. To me, the most practical freedom of speech is Internet porn, which is not officially allowed in China. Who in a truly free society would need religion? Congratulations to China for freeing more than a billion of humanity from the shackles of religion!

Have you ever thought that our labor (and the bailout) that we surrender to the IRS by force actually goes to the FED or Treasury, and through debt, to the international bankers and the world's ultra-rich who own nations by instrument of debt? Welcome to the New World Order.

+1, cannot be more true. The amount of ignorance on this fourm never cease to amaze me. It's as if most of you never left your basement in your life and yet keep spewing crap as if facts.

One of the major advantage china has, is the lack of reglious fanaticism. The nation is not without religion, most people are devoted buddhist (if you consider that a religion, debatable yes). People from all walks of life goes to the temple and worship buddha, pray for wishes, try to follow the traditional teachings of respect the elder etc...

But the one big difference is chinese's lack of fanaticism towards religion, they could careless nor will judge another person based on religion, or feel the need for violence based on some religious belief. Hurting another human being because of religion or a surpreme being said so, is a mind boggling concept to the chinese.

The government does interfere with religion sometimes not because of any actual religious matters but secular concerns regarding consolidation of power. Just like the government will interfere in any large organization that is viewed as anti-party...

India on the other hand, although to a much less extent than pakistan, still has deep religious conflicts, which threatens its society in many ways including safety, the further out you go from the city the more true it becomes.

That article is nothing but hyperbole. They make this funny predictions about the future as if they have somekinda time machine or sumthin. LOL

Corruption is the biggest problem in India. Religion does not peg back the development as much but under the table dealings do. The overall quality of life differs hugely between the Indians and the Chinese too.
 
Everybody here is forgot about India-Pakistan War. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are trying to start India-Pakistan War by staging Mumbai-style terror attacks. When there is India-Pakistan war the USA army will be forced to withdraw from Pakistan and this will be a major win for taliban and al-Qaeda.

India-Pakistan War is guaranteed.

The problem is, everybody think about developments but nobody thinks about destruction.
 
you dont know your history the U.S. will not withdraw they want india and pakistan to fight, the indian army will become an america proxy army, ever heard of the latin american studies group at fort benning . the u.s. would train battlion size groups of south american soldiers and put them into the field to fight. will just do the same to indian army troops , big shock for pakistan. pakistan knows that , does not want that to happen, u.s. trained,and armed indians to fight, no more enfield rifles,and artillary that hits the target what a concept
