Your views on India will depend on the way your outlook is in life. There are a lot of negative things but many positive things as well. If your a glass half full type you'll appreciate that even though there are rebellion movements within india it still is able to keep itself together even though the culture, looks, languages, and etc are incredibly different. The populations are more different than the differences between the EU countries themselves.
In the third world you will only find countries with many rebellions and that includes China. If india had a governing system like China than things would be far more efficient however the cultures are very much different. The Chinese are able to be communist because they have a one dominant culture while in India your dealing with many different cultures. If it wasnt for democracy India would be split into 25 countries.
Anyhow things are progressing and if they keep on progressing things will be a lot different in the coming 20 years.
