Index options v futures options

I trade ndx and sometimes spx options. How do options on the index futures compare? Is there better liquidity? Do they move as much on a percentage basis?

I would say both better liquidity and spreads.

however, options are a different ball game, opening possibilities to all kinds of strategies / scenarios - not the same for futures.

I think you're saying that options on futures are very different than stock options. I have experience with stock options, have tried abit of options on futures...specifically gold. There is no vix on futures so options are harder to gauge...imho
