How would you know? Your "heat index" is not the same as temperature.
Ask your alleged master gardener wife. Assuming that she's more intelligent than you are (she couldn't possibly be less), ask her to explain how the heat index is determined. Ask her what the average high humidity percentage is for South Carolina. Then get back to me on how tomatoes perform above 90 degrees.
You might also ask her about transpiration.
I realize it's mandatory for you to get in the last word ... so have at it.
Tomatoes can grow and survive in 90 degree heat anywhere in the US. We've had plenty of them again this summer and just had the 4th hottest August on record. Air temps above 90 much of the time. Why do you refuse to deal with FACTS? My wife is still up in Maine and I need not bother her with your drivel. As for you suggesting she's an "alleged" master gardener ... hate to tell you but she's taught courses down here in SC as part of Clemson's extension program in Master Gardening techniques.
As you did with Title I funding you continue to dig a deeper hole. Go dazzle me and others with some cut & paste gibberish! And be sure you get the last word in, no matter how uninformed it is.
