very encouraging day trading the 6S (CME Globex Swiss Franc Future)

+18 points in total trading the 6S today

Encouraged in that both trades actually lasted longer and did not just 'jump out' of the 'trading frying pan' when the trade went against me like 9 points or so(for the first trade).

First trade lasted 16 minutes approx
Second trade lasted 20 minutes approx

all of a sudden you can hold out of the money and be in trades longer than 35 secs?

Wow, that is QUITE a change in behavior. Drastic even!

didn't say it was easy but rather be profitable!!!! :)
 
why don't you explain to everyone how you were able to 'muster up the courage' to do this?

Years of timid trading and then an overnight drastic change in behavior is pretty uncommon. Could be an interesting story to tell here.

sure, but please keep in mind it is just two trades. I came to realise that, I just have to believe in the overall direction of where a trade is going and let it run some more. If I entered it for a reason, then there had to be a reason to 'stick with it' to go in the direction of my position...trying to learn this!!

also...I only lose $ when I exit the position for a loss..not if I am holding the position and it is 'currently in the negative (-)'...

Post your blotter from today for all you see. It might be encouraging to some reading (who don't post) to know that it's possible to overcome intense fear to trade well.
