Incompetent People Too Ignorant to Know It

We are a world community, and those who insist on trying to keep the U.S. compartmentalized will soon find out how bad that type of thinking is. I do business in several countries, trade a few markets, and what happens in the world DOES affect us, why would we not expect our neighbors to be concerned about what goes on here. I sincerely hope you guys, who are supposed to be traders, keep an eye on what goes on in the world.

This 'you're just a Canadian' thing just doesn't make sense. We are, hopefully, not so constrained. I mean, come on, make some other arguments if you must, but to rag on someone who lives a few miles away, not a winning discussion.

I'd explain it to you, but an idiot wouldn't understand.

You overlooked the most important part Gayfly1.

"And more importantly why would a Canadian care one way or the other?"

I don't care and have no reason whatsoever to care what other countries do with their government mail services. Care to explain to us mere mortals why a Canadian would/should care about the USPS?

Now that is a funny thought. The U.N. delivering the mail. I can't imagine how that would work out.

If I thought facts and a rational argument would help I might argue here. But as we all know, no matter what proof is given, the idiot righties here will never admit to man-made global warming and the seriousness of it. As per the OP article, these folks are so ignorant, and especially closed minded, that they think they are smart. They think that their opinion is equal to that of the experts, 97% of which agree in the fact of AGW.

They continually ignore facts such as the "E-mail thing" was looked into and the scientists were COMPLETELY EXONERATED BY MULTIPLE STUDIES.

They can't read a chart. They can't understand simple science or basic logic.

They will never admit it, no matter what. Picture the monkey covering his ears. Cocksure and unable to adapt to new ideas.
The party line is most important.

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

Or maybe conservatives are better at detecting BS.

Seriously, you have one group, liberals and environmentalists, who have been arguing for decades that the government should limit energy use. Not surprisingly, liberals love the idea of saving the planet and also giving the government vast new powers to decide whogets to use energy and at what price and who doesn't.

Conservatives hear this and see old wine in a shiny new bottle, this time labelled "climate change", a new crisis which has the unique advantage of not being susceptible to scientific proof. It requires instead blind faith in unproven hypotheses that are contradicted by the entire human existence. Being naturally skeptical of the university/government complex, they pose alternate theories, eg sun activity, and are ridiculed for "denying" the "consensus." They recognize that consensu is a political not scientific term, and their skepticism grows when emails are released showing devious scheming by global warming activists posing as objective scientists.

Quite honestly I think these scientists took the disaster movies of the 70-80's a little too serious and it warped their commonsense.

And what would know about science and commonsense?

When I consistently kick liberal butt for more than a few days I get banned every time even if I do strictly keep to their posting guidelines.

IOW: Make a good argument and that is hate speech.

I had some fun with a Christian website.. I went there and advocated they do something that is clearly spelled out for them to do. They said I was in a cult and I couldn't be messing up their happy horseshit website! People are just a mess whether it's politics or religion, the realities of it all is just way, way over most of their heads.

uhhh, let's see... Al Gore stands to make a fortune off of global warming and it's just coincidence that he releases an infomercial full of psudo science scaring everybody about global warming.. err, I mean climate change.. and we are supposed to set our hair on fire and run in circles because mankind is generating a small fraction of the total CO2 in the atmo... and when Krakatoa went off and released a hell of a lot more stuff into the atmo the earth corrected for it rather easily and certainly the earth corrected for far, far worse eruptions in the past? And it is you that continually is claiming to be holding the intellectual high ground? Sorry, I'm just not looking for any reasons to do hand wringing exercises today...

Their fathers were sure we would be in a full-on ice age by now.

There was quite a bit of silly alarmism about it during the 60s and 70s. For guys in my age group the recent alarmism is all too familiar and we are beyond skeptical. We simply will not allow a group of shrill liberals to destroy our way of life, particularly when they will not diminish or inhibit their own proclivity for big cars, big homes, airliner trips to vacation spots or otherwise exhibit any belief in their own assertions.

Instead they bare their teeth and scream about how stupid the rest of us are. It is their anger that reinforces the skepticism felt but the rest of us. The AGW guys in P&R are as mean as snakes and as clueless as Barrack Obama.
