Hmm, no, the post I replied to, which you deleted, said that you make most of your money Jan to April, start losing in May and spend the rest of the year getting back to BE.. I replied that "Well, that is Q4 reporting for most companies".

I was suggesting you look at that metric. Now you are reversing it and claiming that is your WORST period?

I did not delete any posts. That post that you are referring to is still there along with your post in reponse. I dunno what you are talking about.

Jan. to April are always my best months. And then comes May, I lose tons of money that I usually have to take the rest of the year getting back so I just end up earning almost just breaking even. Every single year it's like this it's so annoying.

That's Q4 earnings reporting for most companies.

Anyway...Still don't know why the Q4 earnings of most companies are so bad.

Sorry, must have had an up-arrow clicking malfunction.

Anyways, what I am saying is, maybe you do well from Jan to Apr each year because that is when companies report their Q4 earnings. It doesn't matter whether or not their earnings are good. It is just that that is the timeframe you make the best bucks. Look into why that is!

No. That's the problem.
%%

THAT[JAN-APR] tends to be strongest % gainer$ in SPY/QQQ;
even though NOV + DEC can be excellant also .
But a bear down trending market can lose most% there.
{Every year loss\ then\ that would be something else}
I tend to lose most with\when a major trend changes, like happened in hindsight\ in JAN 2022

"Sell in May and go away. Don't come back till St Albans Day"

That didn't work in 2017, 2019, and 2020. That pattern is breaking.

My losses happened exactly in May of 2019, 2020, 2021, and this year and then starting in June, I start to see some profits so I think there is some merit to that saying even if it might be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
