The last time I saw her, after I stopped the car to drop her off, I leaned over to kiss her cheek instead of the customary passionate embrace. She indicated her displeasure at such a weak display of affection. I said it's a tough thing... It's a tough thing... It turned out she lies like Trump and has a gambling problem. She is young enough to turn things around, but she is unduly influenced by the (Other) dysfunctional people around her. Her spending 12 hours a day on social media does not help either.

I feel badly and hope for the best for her, but long term prospects just don't seem to be there.

By the way, she says she doen't hate Trump like she used to, but that may have been just to humor me.

If stock market returns, job market health, the ability to effectively handle a crisis, having a thoughtful foreign relations strategy, being a stalwart of our Constitution, and reining in wasteful Government expenditures were considered important measures of Presidential Performance, the only thing left for a Trump supporter is:

I said all Trump supporters I have met have had serious father issues, maybe not that bad though.

The one thing normal Americans have at least partly figured out is the stock market is not the greater economy that they live in.

My goal was to end the relationship with the least amount of emotional pain for her as possible. I do like and care for her, but we have no business being in a romantic relationship. It is a dead end for me and it is not fair to hold her up by working a temporary "Friends with benefits" angle. As it was, she was in the process of making some life decisions that would be influenced my level of commitment to her.
