In the year 2020, which corporation will have the highest market cap. in the world?

Whoever perfects 80% efficiency solar film.

Recent breakthroughs in solar technology estimate that 80% efficiency is possible. We're probably 10 years off commercial production. Whoever can get this technology to market first will solve the world's energy problems. No moving parts. No waste heat. Power your home and your electric car for free.

GE

they are now in the business of energy.

right or wrong, good thread though...

Ge would have the most to gain with anti gravity. Ibm the most to gain with Quantum computing.

Hard to believe but it will be KKD. Yes Krispy Kreme Donuts. They'll discover a way to grow donuts on trees and then turn them into fuel to warm homes and power automobiles not to mention the genetic cancer cure they'll discover in jelly donuts. Remember you heard it here first.

Only if Homer Simpson were a real character.

Mmmmm Donuts...
As it turns out Homer will be the CEO of Krispy Kreme and the wealthiest man in the world.

I'll bet that it will be Google Inc. and Apple Computer Inc. Both have niche and appealing products. Extremely capable people and management.

yes, I guess it's very reasonable idea...
Remember movie "I, Robot" ?
it looks for me that it's not a big technological problem to finally create affordable home robot. We have all nessesary parts for it. Computers are getting smaller, less power consumpting and ligher, mechanics itself and motion control electronics also improving ( Segway !!), motors are getting smaller, less power consumpting, ligher and more powerfull. What remains? Artificial intellect? Are u really need it for home robot? robot should be able to bring you favourite beer from bar, clean you closet, bring nessesary food from the shop.... It's not too difficult task for modern computers and optical/RF/MW sensors ...

Good point-a half ways decent robotic woman, that didnt nag, fetched beer without complaing etc.
Just might be on the market by then, that would slay any competition, even if they were a million $ a pop.

:D

Robotics will be huge. The price of labor is the only reason anything costs anything. Take the labor out of the equation and things would be free, except for the small amount of labor that probably can't be taken out.
