You do realize the entire article is about Ludvigsson using fake data in the NEJM article that does not represent the number of sick and dead school-age children in Sweden due to COVID. You are merely quoting his fake data. Scientists and medical researchers are demanding that the NEJM retract his paper and two letters.

Why in the hell would Ludvigsson remove data from his research so that his conclusions would help support those quacks at the Great Barrington Declaration that believe in Natural Herd Immunity ???

I wish there was a way to monitor all those authors to see which one has gotten a Covid vaccination in secrecy like Trump / Melanie did in January and that other guy (can't remember his name) got vaccinated after emails within the White House revealed their belief in Natural Herd Immunity.

Ludvigsson and others like him should be arrested for altering their data or removing critical data to support their research conclusions because that's how misinformation / disinformation gets started.

By the way, its not different than Cuomo did with removing Covid deaths data involving the elderly deaths in New York so that it will fit whatever narrative they wanted.

The complaint comes from Bodil Malmberg, a private citizen in Vårgårda, Sweden. She used the country’s open records law to obtain email correspondence between Ludvigsson and Swedish chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, the architect of the country’s pandemic policies, that shed light on how the paper came about. Malmberg says she requested the emails because the data in the NEJM paper “did not add up.” Ludvigsson does not dispute the content of the emails, but stands by the study’s conclusions. However, he says the barrage of criticism and personal attacks has made him decide to quit COVID-19 research.

Ludvigsson, whose prepandemic research focused on gastroenterology, was one of the 47 original signers of the Great Barrington Declaration, a controversial document published in October 2020 that argued that pandemic policies should focus on protecting the vulnerable while the rest of the population builds up immunity through natural infection.

They will never understand that its extremely difficult to protect the vulnerable due to social economic disparities, 1/3 not knowing they have an underlying medical condition, surrounded by those with misinformation about Covid and children / teenagers are excellent carries of Covid back home to their families that have parents / grandparents although children are less likely to become severely ill from Covid.

During the 4 months of pandemic exposure in Sweden (March through June 2020), there were 69 deaths among children 1 to 16 years of age. During the same 4 months in 2019, there were 55 deaths in that age group, and during the 4 months before the pandemic began (November 2019 through February 2020), there were 65 deaths. For children 1 to 6 years of age, the numbers were 18, 24, and 29 deaths, respectively, and for children 7 to 16 years of age, the numbers were 51, 31, and 36. During March through June 2020, none of the deaths among children 1 to 16 years old were reported as deaths from Covid-19

Sweden infections / deaths had flatlined recently for a few days (not a good for the stats) and then started going southward...that's the good news (see charts below of recent Covid stats in Sweden).

• As stated earlier...Sweden recent new restrictions implied they knew more info then us outside of Sweden do not know about the recent habits by Sweden citizens.

The bad news is still the same since Day 1 of the Pandemic...its Scandinavian neighbours are still outperforming Sweden. In fact, accordingly to families in Sweden that actually follows the Covid performance numbers and many different websites...

They think Sweden may actually catch up with Denmark, Finland and Norway. Actually, Norway numbers have been slowly rising while Sweden's numbers have been slowly declining...closing the gap between the two countries.

Covid Infections

Keeping track of confirmed infections is important because its an early indication about hospitalizations and deaths. Thus, if your infection numbers are decreasing...hospitalizations / ICUs will begin to soon decrease too and the same with decreasing deaths.

Just as importantly, there will be room for critical care for other patients with other illnesses not related to Covid.

Covid Deaths

Deaths for many countries are declining and not just for the shown below country comparisons. Declining because hospital care is better for Covid patients, more people becoming vaccinated and more people using face masks to reduce (minimize) their viral load if they're infected...the latter gives the other person a better chance at survival if they became infected (sick).

I highlighted the above "hospital care is better" because my girlfriend is an ICU nurse here in Québec, Canada that treats Covid patients. She states they now have critical experience in treating Covid patients that translates in treating them differently today in comparison to the start of the Pandemic...resulting in those that are severely sick do now in fact have better outcomes.

Norway's increasing infections is concerning among the Scandinavian countries. Its concerning enough that Sweden itself has closed border crossings between the two countries...some crossing they're doing Covid testing of migrant workers going back n forth to work between the two countries.

I'm hoping Sweden will catch up with their Scandinavian countries although the early high excess mortality (there words that they use to explain the situation) of the vulnerable they failed to protect in the beginning of the Pandemic will haunt them.

You need to take into account the over two week delay in Sweden reporting death data... and the several day delay that that Sweden has in reporting case data. Their own national website warns about this. It is also why recent days always appear to have declining numbers.... until a couple more weeks have passed beyond the date range.

Yes, I'm fully aware of Sweden's delay data that's been an issue since the first month of the Pandemic especially when I'm comparing Sweden to other countries that do not have delay data.

A good indication (took me awhile to understand)...the restrictions and health guidelines info coming from Sweden's health officials is not delay and they have access to real-time info that we do not have access too.

Simply, pretend the Sweden Health Officials decide right now (at this moment) to do a Lockdown while the shown data at those websites are showing the infections / deaths are declining...

We should see Sweden's numbers (delayed) start to rise dramatically over the next week to reflect why they lockdown today.

I use the hypothetical lockdown situation as an example because Sweden recently pass that Pandemic Law to allow them to use a lockdown if needed. Obviously, if they lockdown...they will do such based upon real-time data and not delayed data while we on the outside only have access to the delayed data.

I think the above makes sense about how the real-time reaction from Sweden's health officials and government do not line up with the shown data at many websites.

State pensions are likely to be slightly higher in Sweden for the next five years than they would have been without the pandemic, according to the Swedish Pensions Agency, as a result of life expectancy falling a notch last year.

The authority revealed that this impact of COVID-19 on the income pension – the main component of the general or state pension – gives pensions a lift for five years.

Erland Ekheden, chief actuary at the Swedish Pensions Agency (Pensionsmyndigheten), told IPE: “The trend for a long time has been that life expectancy increases year by year. But in 2020, life expectancy decreased, preliminarily by about 1% calculated for both men and women.”

However, the authority is still waiting for definitive figures from Statistics Sweden, he said.

For the income pension, he said the annuity divisor figure (delningstalen) is calculated according to five-year life expectancy tables from Statistics Sweden.

The divisor for those who turn 65 in 2022 will be based on data from the years 2016-2020, for 2023 in the years 2017-2021, and so on, he explained.

“So for five years, 2020 will be included in the calculation,” Ekheden said.

According to the preliminary data, life expectancy in 2020 was not lower than in 2015, but very close, he said, so the five-year average 2016-2020 will not be much lower than in 2015-2019 – but rather very close to it.

Looking ahead, Ekheden said the income pension for people who retire in 2022 will be similar to that in 2021, given a particular level of pension account savings, but still higher than if 2020 had been a year with “normal” mortality.

“The effect of the reduced life expectancy in 2020 is therefore small, I estimate that it is SEK20-SEK40 (€2-€4) more in income pension per month,” he said, adding that when Statistics Sweden releases its official statistics at the end of March, the exact size of the impact will become clear.

“The effects on the economy, which affect the income index and how much pension savings are worth, are probably greater,” he said.

In the premium pension, the smaller component of Sweden’s general pension, Ekheden said the agency used divisor figures based on a forecast of future mortality.

“And we have not changed the forecast going forward due to the pandemic,” he said.
