The chart I posted showed a clear delineation between Sweden that did not lock down, and the UK that did.

I've posted others that show that mask mandates and lockdown rules had nothing to do with case counts and deaths (at least not when you graph when they were implemented and when the case spikes occurred or the drops occurred).

COVID narrators love to show countries that had success implementing lockdown policy when it furthers their agenda - then its OK to make comparisons. But the moment you post one that doesn't show it, its all about correlations not implying causation or the source is immediately attacked, etc.

So very obvious at this point.

You've stated this before, and I'm fine with doing it. But according to Usualname, it doesn't make sense to do it. It "isn't informative".

I've also said we should be looking at all countries in Europe, but that's when you balk and run away. Only direct neighbors because of...some reason or another. Most likely that reason is because the numbers work for you. But bring up the UK or Belgium and it's "no, we can't look at those!" But in the same breath, we can compare Florida to states across the country, or Canada like that lunatic Nine Ender says.

It doesn't change the facts that even the King and Prime Minister of Sweden stated their COVID policy was a complete failure and they are now using federal restrictions and lockdowns.

No, I don't pick the worst country in Europe - I opt to include all countries in Europe. You only want to select a few. According to Usualname, there is no value in any comparison.

I am happy to compare Sweden to Norway if you want. But you also have to compare it to the UK and Belgium, to Spain and Italy as well.

You think you can make excuses as to why you can't compare Sweden to Italy or the UK, but then unequivocally accept Norway and Finland as if they are carbon copies of Sweden in every regard.

You're the proverbial "cake and eat it too" guy.

You have the same issue in DeSantis' thread. If you claim Sweden or Florida are so very bad, then they should be at the bottom of the scale in regards to the stats that matter the most. If they aren't, then you don't have a case.

If true (and this is the first I've seen of that chart) then this is actually a case for not locking down, as the vast majority of the EU's actions have had massive economic consequences, at the benefit of buying them an only nominal/marginal improvement in deaths per million. Back in August, you could have certainly had an argument.

This is your problem (one of them). You continue to look at this as a one variable equation. It isn't, and never has been. There is another side to the conversation you continue to discount and ignore.

Additionally, I note your acceptance of that chart without question or challenge, because it validates your narrative. Were it to show data the other way around, it would have been met with challenges, slandering the source (and the source's author, family, pets) and how we can't use charts like that because of....well, something you would have created.
