In the Coronavirus Fight in Scandinavia, Sweden Stands Apart

Nick is a very legitimate actuary. He runs PANDA, a reputable consultancy that focuses on pandemic data. He doesn’t post panic porn that has been DEAD WRONG for over a year. He just posts the facts. Which are inconvenient when you are preaching fear.

Theres at least 500,000 dead Americans from Covid in about a year.

For perspective, the Spanish Flu killed 650,000 Americans in 2 years.

Correlation now means causation. You should know not to share something like this.

correlation can mean causation when you want to implement restrictive policy because of something that happened elsewhere, so why can't it be looked at in reverse?

It can certainly be looked at but to go around sharing this information as if it is informative is a wrong.

In some places there are new laws, fines and arrests to fight Covid-19 misinformation.

"This is not a question of freedom of speech. This is a question of people who are actually actively working to spread disinformation, whether it's through troll bot farms, whether [it's] state operators or whether it's really conspiracy theorist cranks who seem to get their kicks out of creating havoc."

It is informative to me.

You don't complain when data that shows how opening schools in Sweden (as an example) is used to dictate closing schools in states in the US.

Its the same as it always is with you. The moment something runs counter to the point you believe in (and with your superiority complex, all your beliefs are the ones that are right) then it is propaganda and worthless. Once a comparison is brought up being the exact same on the other side of the equation, you immediately backtrack to "that's not the same".

The Spanish Flu was a pandemic that killed young and healthy people. 0.6% of the population died BECAUSE of it...

The Chinese flu is not a pandemic...it's a syndemic that kills old and sick people.
0.14% of people died WITH it...

Your numbers game only works for the feeble minded...
