In the Coronavirus Fight in Scandinavia, Sweden Stands Apart

And as noted by Eurostat --- even deaths in PREVIOUS weeks in the chart are incomplete.

I just said this. Do you actually read the posts you reply to? I get that you're in a rush to spam the latest article your bot finds for you, but really. Slow down.

At this point the 2020 chart is fairly meaningless -- with the recent COVID death rate in Sweden greatly accelerating.

It's not meaningless. It shows trends for out weeks and direction. Its only meaningless to people who don't like what the data is showing. Like you.

It's very simply -- there is an official yearly release of Swedish deaths by their government. Wait for it. Very clear milestone.

Pushing charts from Eurostat which aren't even up-to-date for recent weeks is meaningless.
And yet you quote ‘highest death total from Jan to June in 150 years’. What does that even mean? You are completely inconsistent

Go read the article with the headline and find out.

A little knowledge would be beneficial for you.
I’ve read it.
Did you see that by November, Sweden was on pace for average death totals for the year??
Oh right - you did - and then told us this data was of no merit.

“The November figures seems less alarming when adjusted for the growing size of the Swedish population.

On a per capita basis, November was only the deadliest in a decade, with 77.9 people dying per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 79.2 in November, 2010.”

WITH NO MASKS AND NO LOCKDOWN.

Sweden was supposed to have hundreds of thousands of deaths. You continue to root for it. But What happened?

virus gonna virus

Sweden is the model

"...‘I think we have failed. We have a large number who have died and that is terrible. It is something we all suffer.’"

That’s Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf admitting to state broadcaster SVT in an annual broadcast that his country’s anti-lockdown coronavirus strategy has failed, amid a higher rate of infections than its Nordic neighbors Finland and Sweden...

Bad misstep there in the article though, by the author on the underlined bit. I'm sure "Lina Sigol" meant to type "...neighbors Finland and Norway".

But I digress.

You have not established that Sweden is reporting deaths more slowly than all the other countries. Sweden simply does its accounting differently.

Instead leaving all the deaths batched together they breakout them out and reconcile them to the correct day of death.

How many times do you need to read that before you understand that does not mean that Sweden is slower in reporting deaths.

2.
When sweden had zero and one death a day... I did seize on that data.
When the deaths started rising I quickly stopped making that argument because you could see the trend rising on the 7 day line.

You were the moron who was thinking that a report of x amount of deaths in one day meant that Sweden had reached 7 week highs in deaths.

that was not true... because you misunderstood how the official website recorded deaths.

You have been a moron for months on this stuff.

I have already explained to you multiple times how the Swedish reporting of COVID deaths from the government works.

Let’s do it again — the Swedish government reports 4 times per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) updated figures including newly registered deaths. These deaths may have occurred on days over the past several weeks.

Sadly Sweden (similar to Florida) is very slow in allocating the reported deaths to data sets for deaths by date. Due to this charts of COVID deaths for Sweden sourced by government data always appear to be declining in recent weeks. Idiots — like you — seize on this as “evidence” that everything is getting better in Sweden because “deaths are going down” in recent weeks on a chart. The reality is that the deaths are going up but are not simply seen in the data yet.

This circle jerk between you 2 has been going on since March, time for both of you to give it a rest. Cady women and Juveniles don’t beat the band this long.

I agree with you...

But, you pretty much admitted to being a sock puppet.

Lockdowns and masks don't work? Let's go ask New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and other countries about that.

The Lesson: Countries which attempt lockdowns but fail to properly implement their lockdowns with contract tracing and testing along with a phased re-opening fail --- and will endure broad re-infections. The degree of failure correlates with how far their public health policy deviated from best practices.

However even worse are countries that simply let the virus run wild in the fantasy that they would achieve "natural herd immunity".
Yeah, the US should use South Korea's response as an example. I mean its chart illustrating daily new cases looks nothing like that chart in the US.
