In the Coronavirus Fight in Scandinavia, Sweden Stands Apart

Germany re-enters national lockdown... a bit lighter this time
Remember this was GWBs pick for best job on Covid because they were testing and tracing after a lock down.

GWB's preferred method has completely failed and had to re enter lockdown.

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/11/02/germany-re-enters-national-lockdown-to-last-four-weeks/

As I stated multiple times --- Germany did the best in Europe of following proper public health procedures of locking down and using Contact Tracing and Testing as they re-opened. The flaw in their plan was re-opening their borders ---> which led to the current situation of having to re-impose restrictions.

You keep pretending your view is the smart view.
you lie on every thread...
your only view is fear, maximum fear.

for instance...

1. I remember when you were promoting N.Z.'s response months ago. I asked you to confirm you were advocating for closed borders... you dodged the question.

2. While I was on record many times saying if you are going to lockdown... do it well and close the borders... like this post below from about june.

If the govt wants the people to perform the govt needs to cease playing politics start acting like its a crisis.

If our public officials don't provide us with transparent data and they have been very political in their application of their warnings.

Protestors
1. It was bullshit to not call out the protestors. That is when I sense there was significant change in public's behavior. Collectively many young people said... fuck these politicians.

Transparency

2. ICU beds is a very important stat and as those are rising we should be concerned. But, Positive Virus stats are hard to trust if officials are including multiple positive tests from the same people in the data. (whether the tests are antibody tests or retests for live virus)

If this is a crisis close the Borders.
3. For instance

In CA we have open borders and people are coming in from Mexico in very significant amounts with Covid to our hospitals. When these SOBs close the border... we may get control of this virus like the model countries who drove down the virus to very low levels without blanket shutdowns.

In short it will help when govt starts acting like its a crisis rather than just preaching it, so we can regain control.

Germany has had a lengthy debate over closing borders.... and still is having a debate about re-closing them for COVID. They had closed them in March and re-opened them too quickly. Currently their borders are still open and regional politicians are urging they be closed again.

Should Germany impose border controls as Covid-19 rates rise across Europe?

The first option I think is likely the correct one. If for no other reason than the sheer number of false postings.

COVID is projected to be so bad in Sweden that they are increasing the national budget...

Sweden to spend an additional $1 billion to fight coronavirus

https://news.yahoo.com/sweden-spend-additional-1-billion-195001811.html

Sweden is set to double the funding allocated to regions for fighting the coronavirus, Finance Minster Magdalena Andersson said on Monday, as the country prepares to amend its budget to cope with a surge in COVID-19 cases.

The government will meet on Tuesday to boost the budget it agreed in September to include an additional 10 billion Swedish crowns ($1.12 billion) aimed at covering healthcare and other costs faced by regions as they deal with the coronavirus.

"This is more than what the municipalities and regions have applied for. We take into account the further risk of increased costs," Andersson told the Dagens Nyheter daily newspaper.

Sweden, which has shunned lockdowns throughout the pandemic, reported 2,820 new coronavirus cases on Oct. 28, the highest daily total so far.

Authorities for the Stockholm region on Monday also warned of a "dire situation" as cases in the Swedish capital continued to rise.

"It is not money that should stand in the way of good healthcare and care," Andersson added.

($1 = 8.9300 Swedish crowns)

So they're doubling the funding because "its so bad in Sweden"? Or is that your interpretation?
