In the Coronavirus Fight in Scandinavia, Sweden Stands Apart

So when Sweden's Anders Tegnall said the WHO took the rise in cases out of context... because it was accompanied by a lot more testing, he had data to back up the statement?

2. That is also a stunning stat / graph

Deaths are down... cases are (in reality) down...
How can that be?

The doomers told us that Sweden was going to be destroyed because they did not lock down like the rest of us.

The doomers still tell us Swnden is a mess. Yet look at the performance after they locked down old folks homes.

I'll just leave this here, shall I?

This is the problem across the board. People pushing the fear narrative are becoming more and more desperate to keep the momentum of fear going.

Let me clearly state that it is OK to be cautious, and to be afraid. But that's not what is happening here. There are some folks who genuinely want the global pandemic scenario to come true. The alternative is that they are on the wrong side of the argument, and their egos can't handle this.

I honestly don't care who is right or wrong. Lets debate the data, get the facts and then make the right decisions based on the facts.

Here are the real numbers:

California 11,694 cases, 114 deaths, pop 39.5M
Sweden 302 cases, 1 death pop 10.2M
Canada 272 cases, 29 deaths, pop. 37.6M

The site must have revised their numbers I posted what it said very early this morning. Today's numbers : California 135, Canada 9, Sweden 13. So my observation is holding today.

No binary thinking moron...

You keep bringing Canada into this... since you are obsessed with injecting Canada into it and saying how great Canada is...

I pointed out Sweden and Canada are currently experiencing about the same results on the daily death chart. (yeah we know Sweden started off poorly before they locked down old folks homes.)

Now... why is it so interesting that Sweden is performing about the same as Canada on the daily death chart... (which is really the most important stat we have right now.... imo)

In short... (in a simplistic understanding for you)

Canada "hid" from the virus... so there is a relatively larger risk that as they fully re-open it will spread as it has in CA and Florida and other states here in the US. (please note... "relatively larger" language means relative to Sweden)

Sweden did much less hiding from the Virus... so odds are they have experienced the worst of their Covid suffering and death. (although we know that as it goes out into their less populated areas outside of stockholm there are still risks. )

(there are of course other factors which I have to eliminate for the sake of this post because you are so binary in thought.)

You're totally lost in your theories that have little or no practical use in California. Yes, we will revisit this next year if we all survive this. I have lost interest in your overdone mental gymnastics that are of little or no use to anyone. Enjoy your "freedom".

Anyone who has been following the Swedish interior numbers on Arcgis knows there are significant reporting delays and numbers change with updates.

Jem is such a dopey and dishonest little man, now he is revising the facts so its all the fault of the virus getting into all nursing homes in Sweden before they locked down.

No, they had plenty coming in after they thought they were locked down. Plenty of staff without PPE and not being magically immediately perfect at following procedure. Plenty of people not tested enough to ensure any firewall. This is why it takes much more time that you grasp to get people doing things without error.

Tegnell said himself in hindsight they should have been more in the middle of what they did and other countries did.

My source has final numbers on yesterday Canada 12, Sweden 13, California 137. My observations still stand.
