Sweden baffled much of the world by not imposing a lockdown at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now, with hospitalisations rising rapidly, the county is changing tack and implementing restrictions.

Gatherings of more than eight people in public are now banned.

The country has also shut its schools and placed restrictions on alcohol sales.

On Friday, the nation of 10 million people recorded almost 6000 new Covid-19 infections.

Sweden has three times more confirmed Covid-19 cases than Denmark, nine times more cases than Finland and six times the cases of Norway, despite having only about double the population size of its neighbours.

The Swedes have a death rate per capita several times higher than its Nordic neighbours.

Sweden now has double the number of Covid-19 case per capita than Britain, Germany, or Spain.

Skane county has an outbreak similar to some of the worst-hit places in the world.

They are one of the only countries in the world who didn’t mandate lockdowns, masks, societal destruction and yet they rank 25th worldwide in terms of deaths per 100k.

the official chart shows deaths to be significantly lower than the peak just a few days ago...
I understand that the chart will look like that even if deaths are going up since Sweden's reconciled deaths back to the day they happened.... but...

Infections may have peaked... on Nov. 11th.
and ICU admits are significantly lower ... than even a week ago.

there is a chance Sweden has turned the corner...
(probably less than 50/50, but a chance.)

We will not know until the official chart is filled in over the next few days.
You could turn out to be correct... you could turn out to be wrong...

But for us... Sweden is the only country we know that reconciled deaths to the date of death..
So we will know if deaths are rapidily rising in just a few days.

The same applies to Sweden in regards to delays in reporting hospitalizations and cases.

All of this has been explained multiple times in this thread.

Your constant harping of "hey look the chart shows things are declining" has reached the point beyond deliberate stupidity.

The only thing that will help Sweden turn the corner is further restrictions and lockdowns which they have started to implement.

1. Are ICU admits going up or down in Sweden right now.... Show a chart...

2. Are infections lower today than the were in Sweden on about Nov. 11th.
Show are chart...I prefer the official chart... but show a chart.

3. For that matter you have not even established daily deaths per day are going up rapidly.

I suspect you can, using John's Hopkins data...
but... show your data....

If it is massively higher... then you will probably be correct with respect to deaths right now.

Just compare Germany and Sweden. Both in cases (which mean fuck all) and Deaths. Then let us know why hard lockdown Germany did a better job than Do Nothing Sweden.

On a cases per million or deaths per million basis Germany is doing far better than Sweden.
