I was a complete p*ssy of a man in high school and college. -- I should have made something of the opportunity then...and be more social with girls, don't get scared or intimated easily of potential rejection.

Now, I definitely regret it.
Now, that I'm middle-aged and girls/women are relatively sparse and rare and hard to find and meet. :) ---> :banghead:

It's virtually impossible to naturally meet a date/woman after you leave highschool and college.
It's abundant at that age, or era in your life. After that, it becomes essentially a ghost town.

A long time ago i had a conversation with a friend who at the time was a psychologist. We were on the discussion of parenting. He provided a little weird analogy on what takes place when a child is born and starts going through its upbringing process. He said that when a child is born its given an empty tool box. The responsibility of filling this empty tool box with the proper tools for the child to go through its life relies on its parents. But, there's a caveat to this idea. If the parents didn't receive the proper tools during there upbringing, they will not provide enough for there own child. Hence the dysfunction and the link to the never ending chain that's past from one generation to the next.

Now for the scapegoat? We can blame our parents and I'm sure many have, but we should never blame ourselves. Take ownership and go forward and no more regrets. Just make up for lost time.
 
Just touching that old tree was truly moving to me because when you
touch these trees, you have such a sense of the passage of time, of
history. It's like your touching the essence, the very substance of life.
