"Never will a man penetrate deeper into error than when he is continuing on a road that had led him to a great success."
- Friedrich von Hayek ( Counterrevolution of Science, 1899- 1992)
Hmmm, anyone like to comment on this? Is Fred saying that pride & ego finally catch up to undo all the good?

I think he is saying nothing is permanent and you should always adjust to the circumstances.

Everything is constantly dynamic and ever-changing; a chain reaction set in place.
Every future moment, is presently affected by the present moment. -- While the past is good for nostalgia and semi-good lessons in them...they are not necessarily there to be dwelled upon.

The best people in any field, in my opinion, express themselves...in a somewhat philosophical, open-minded or ended, manner,

Not everything has to be explicitly written in literal black and white; their minds are correlating things two or three steps ahead -- or deeper than surface level, on multiple contingencies.

hmmmmm, but why, under what circumstances does a person create bigger negative issues (penetrate deeper into error) when on a path which was a winner?
Flumoxed, could be some wisdom here, can't recognise it atm.

All Wong is doing a rise, if mind transformed, Wong remain?
Buddha believed that through meditative practice, we clear our minds of petty "noise" and come to recognize that all people and things are not only connected but are the same. By doing wrong to others or other things, we are doing wrong to ourselves.
