In election Hail Mary, Jared Kushner tells black people they're lazy and unambitious

The video clip that was posted in the OP and the title of the thread are completely and wholly different. So unless it was said someplace else (or written), this is just made up commentary.

No where in that video clip did Kushner say black people were lazy or unambitious.
You mean he didn't say those very words in that exact order? And therefore the meaning cannot possibly be the same? Let's try again, and this time really home in on Jared's sentiment:

No, he obviously didn't say them in that order, or anything even close to them. You have to want to read what you read out of them. And you do.

This isn't a fair and just interpretation of his comments - not by any stretch of the imagination. This is a hyper partisan person applying a massive slant to get a dog whistle reaction from others on his side of the fence.

It would be one thing if you applied this same slant process to folks on both sides of the aisle, but you don't. You will rigorously defend the same from the left, but adamantly accuse those on the right.

"...But he can't want them to be more successful than they want to be successful."

Want to try that again?

You're wasting your time. His "thinking" is a little ...

That's the very quote on whose interpretation we are disagreeing. What is it you want me to try again?
And what is your interpretation, other than that the black community as a whole does not wish to be successful? Remember the "but" with which he started the sentence.

It's very obvious. Kushner is stating that if blacks want policies that favor blacks, they need to vote for Trump. If they don't, and Biden wins, there is nothing Trump will be able to do about it. They have to want to vote for Trump.

I am not stating that I agree with what Kushner is saying, only that what he is saying is so very obviously not that blacks are lazy and unambitious.

I guess we all hear what we want to hear. Some of us more than others.
