In 1,455 days, President Trump has made 30,529...

I can't bring myself to watch that gay video. :vomit:
It's OK. It won't turn you gay. Randy Rainbow is very gay, and very clever. He writes those lyrics, produces and edits those videos himself. Amazing talent, I would say. I still have trouble believing that's his real name, but he swears it is. Do you ever go to stage productions, plays, musicals, the symphony, art galleries, the theater in general and the movies. None of these things would exist in the form that you experience them in without participation of very talented gay men. Randy Rainbow fits the stereotype, but most gay men don't behave any different from a typical straight man, and some straight men have personal characteristics that make them seem gay, but they are not. It's part of life and our species, why not just accept it as reality and enjoy the accomplishments of these amazingly talented people?

You are kidding right? I clicked on several of these and they are all bullshit. Trump dislikes animals because of germs, you real think he was happy here? His older children never saw him, raised by the nanny and Ivana.

The man is a malignant narcissist, an extreme one. Obama would have been very happy in this photo, Bush would have been etc. The media don't have to show a side of the man that does not exist.

He might not have been happy in the pictures taken at the Easter Egg Roll, but he still did it. And he does like animals.:)

And he supported being humane to them.

(CNN) —

President Donald Trump signed a bill that makes animal cruelty a federal felony on Monday, saying the measure would help us be “more responsible and humane stewards of our planet.”

The PACT Act – which stands for Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture – was signed by the President at the White House, where he said he was “pleased” to approve the legislation. The bipartisan act, which passed the Senate earlier this month, expands a previous law passed in 2010.

Trump said he had the same reaction to the bill as he did to the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commemorative Coin Act he had signed a few minutes earlier, saying, “Why hasn’t this happened a long time ago?”

“It is important that we combat these heinous and sadistic acts of cruelty,” he said.

Federal law had previously only prohibited animal fighting and only criminalized animal cruelty if the wrongdoers create and sell videos depicting the act. Under the PACT Act, a person can be prosecuted for crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating or impaling animals or sexually exploiting them. Those convicted would face federal felony charges, fines and up to seven years in prison.

Right now, all 50 states have laws on their books against animal cruelty at the state level.

With Trump’s approval, federal authorities can go after the wrongdoers because they will have federal jurisdiction and will not be bound by state laws. They can also prosecute criminals if the cruelty occurs on federal property.

The legislation, which contains exceptions for hunting, is supported by the Humane Society Legislative Fund, the National Sheriffs’ Association and the Fraternal Order of Police.

That was because his sons and their trophy hunting. Its called PR. Elephant and leopard trophy shots don't play well.

Get serious. There is no White House first pet despite there being a teenage first boy.

Donald Trump signs a bill that makes animal cruelty a federal felony, and you think this was because Don Jr. hunts animals in Africa? Even for you that sounds crazy.

when he owned the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, he was involved in canceling an inhumane horse-diving act. And, while Trump’s sons are trophy hunters, the candidate has both defended their right to participate in the sport, but has explained that he doesn’t understand why they would want to do it. Trump has, for many years, been a big supporter of the Westminster Kennel Club dog shows, posing annually with the Best in Show winner.

And some teenage boys are focused on petting things that aren't animals.;)

Not that much of a stretch. Big game hunting for trophies is unpopular these days, and the outcry's volume has of course increased with social media. Signing the bill was nothing but low hanging PR fruit for Trump.

Yes, because of his sons. You sound crazy saying otherwise. And it's working, fooled you.

Horse diving is "low class". He also said he was against circuses stopping using elephants.

Next please, Phil

As an native English speaker but often living and working in other language nations I have seen a lot of CNN over the years in hotels and airports. CNN is a global news network, you see their offices in many cities.

CNN stacks up well for news against against global norms. Its fairly obvious that there is a campaign to demonise more than the reality by a small fraction of the USA's 4% of the world.

I travel a lot between Québec, France and the United States...most of the airports, hotels and bed & breakfast places had CNN on their TV.

In fact, whenever I was traveling, I always ask if the room or lobby had CNN on the TV.

I'm always pleased when I find their HNN on the hotel's subscription. I get it all in less than an hour.

I'm shopping for an RV and will be looking into Satellite internet / tv for the RV.

CNN will be one of the primary news services I'll be looking for as part of the satellite service.

Back to the topic..

I think Trump was niave in thinking bypassing media and tweeting would help him.

It didn't, it gives people way too much rope to hang themselves.
Too many unforced errors.

How many times do you see celebs or business types apologizing for a tweet.. thought dumps online don't help.

It goes back to the reason above all that Trump lost, not Covid, not the economy, not racism, not his hair, but major lack of political skill.
