Yeah, maybe I should colo again.
Depending on where you are and where most of your trades go this is probably the best option.

I'm paying 1k/month for a dedicated server and 10gps network and it's completely worth it. Colo access to exchanges can be really expensive but if you're not racing against the HFTs, cross connection is almost as good.

WiFi. They did an upgrade in my area. I'll do an ethernet test when I get back. Tried to reproduce the one at 1.5 x 1.2, but this is typical on this Sunday morning.

Wow that's expensive... managed server right? I'm paying 1/10th for the same but un-managed. 3ms to the broker but my 10gps connection is basically wasted; sans being able to run a number of VMs on it.

I'd suggest Beck tune his tcp/ip settings (barely worth it) but he blocked me :( Someone pass it on. Lol

There's a thing called "network weather", kind of like when a thunderstorm knocks out a power line. Or someone trips over a cable. BGP will accommodate but the connection degrades. Like a "black swan", that can't be predicted with any accuracy.

In order to improve reliability there's no option besides putting your machine physically closer to the other machine (broker/exchange/whatever). Lease a VPS, dedicated machine, co-locate, etc.

If you're a point & click trader... nothing will fix the "weather" (including colo, vps, etc) since you're going to have to transmit everything, every time, from your fingertips. Learn to code/automate or have the intermediary bots skim off your profits.

It's largely a binary choice... either you point/click, or you delegate to your bot.

You could try asking @Scataphagos too.. I'm sure he'll take a big dump right in your mouth if that's what you want.

Sorry, I shouldn't have written that... it was mean. Sincere apologies @Scataphagos
