The United States almost has herd immunity.
By the way, the first time I saw a group of individuals here at Elitetrader.com stating as if it was a FACT that the United States had achieved herd immunity was around August 15th when there as about +173k deaths from Covid-19.
Today, November 9th, the United States has about +273k deaths and about 3x more active Covid-19 cases plus hospitals in several states now reaching over-capacity levels...some now sending patients to other cities / states.
It doesn't seem like to me that its "winding down" as you refer to it.
By the way, around August 15th was when I started hearing Trump saying we have a vaccine around the corner, any day now and many other things that most Americans plus scientists / doctors knew was not true.
- Just in case you've forgotten, Trump took office and was handed on a silver plate a great economy. Six months later he took credit for it.
- Just curious, when was the last time you have blood chemistry work to determine if you have herd immunity ?

I will give him credit for one thing...his administration created Operation Warp Speed (accelerate the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics) so that vaccination hits the ground running...it was around the time he refer to himself as a "Wartime President" while sending mix messages and downplaying Covid-19...then lying about it too.
