Be interesting to see how this little shiite-show unfolds.

One of the biggest and thorniest issues that will come up right off is that the pubs will want to call Joe and Hunter as witnesses for obvious reasons.

But the dems may/probably will try to kill that and use their majority status to not vote to call them or for Schiff to use the power invested in the chair to make that decision, whatever. Not sure how the parliamentary gymnastics works there.

The problem is that if the house indicts trump then it goes over to the Senate where the dems will not control the calling of witnesses because the pubs have the majority. Guess who will be coming in.

So if they vote out articles of impeachment they are walking into that. And if they dont then they become the owners of a failed impeachment attempt.

Maybe some of the tards here think that they will just go through the motions and when it gets to the senate, the pubs will be anxious to move on it fast and just kill it in a pefunctory manner. Don't count on it. If they have had to come that far they will be extracting their pounds of flesh from Biden, and some of he other bad actors in Ukraine over the years.

For those who have short memories, it is interesting to recall that the Obama administration/Swamp-driven witch-hunt engaged fully and completely with the Ukraine to go after Mannafort as a means of getting at Trump. Mannafort -lest we forget- was Trump's campaign manager. And now these self-righteous fuckers have the gall to be outraged at the thought that President or underlings at his direction would get involved with anyone in the Ukraine for political purposes. You tards don't agree with that and have a pantload of "yeh buts" in reply. Not to worry. As I said, if your ilk goes as far as taking the impeachment thing into the Senate and we will get to see that topic reviewed in depth.
 
I suspect this Trump fellow is a playing a game of rope-a-dope with the Democrats. Once again, the democrats are making wild claims with very little evidence to support their assertions. This whole episode shines a big light on Joe Biden and his improprieties on this issue. If the only evidence they have is the phone call, then they have nothing. They keep screaming that there is a lot more to it then the phone call, but they have failed to come up with anything. Trump is going to egg them on and they cant help but take the bait. Stand by to have people like Comey, Clapper, and Brennan spew their feces all over cable news. They are discredited liars and the fact that any of them were once high ranking officials is a national disgrace.

In Russia collusion we heard, for almost three years, that there was a mountain of evidence against Trump. Well we know there is no evidence and those claims were lies. Will Ukrainegate play out the same?
 
They plan on trying to tie Trump up with loads of subpoenas and if he fights them, they will claim he is stonewalling. They will apply pressure and see what pops out.

Even if nothing does, they figure they will have shifted the focus of the election from a collection of loser dem candidates to a referendum on Trump. The language they are using and which is getting amplified by their media wing is truly over the top. Pelosi was babbling that Trump had violated his oath of office and endangered national security. Seriously? By asking about Biden's misuse of his office?

No one has shifted their focus away from the weak Democratic pool, just no one cares until December debate when we weed out the last of the crap to remain with the least of the crap.

It has become difficult to follow. Let me see if I have this straight.

Joe Biden bragged publicly about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired under the threat of withholding $1B of "aid". I've heard the speech a few times. This part is factual.

The assertion is that Joe's son Hunter was involved in that investigation and was being compensated by Burisma, the energy firm being investigated. This part is a bit more speculative in that it has not been established that Joe was trying to save his son from an investigation. Its not even clear that Joe knew his son was on the payroll of Burisma at the time he made his statement. But still, it looks pretty bad, very bad actually.

Then President Trump, in a telephone conversation with the current Ukrainian leadership, asked for them to investigate the firing of the prosecutor. I did not see in the transcript where any threat was made about withholding aid or a quid pro quo. There is, however, an agreement with Ukraine regarding criminal investigations and information being shared between the two governments which has been in place about 10 years.

And this is supposed to be grounds for impeachment of the President? Pelosi is actually going to hold a vote in the House to impeach? They are going to do this fully knowing that it will end Joe Biden's campaign?

Wow. Nancy Pelosi is supposed to be some kind of genius but I'm not seeing it.

That is true. Just not sure that that plan is good for more than a couple weeks or so. They have the focus on Trump this week. There will however be a time period when the release of Horowitz's report and the trove of classified material that Trump gave to barr to sanitize will create lots of new issues and bombshells. Then Durham's activities will start surfacing after the first of the year. The dems have an unlimited appetite for forever investigations right now. That might change unless they figure out some magic way of just keeping the focus on Trump.

I dunno. Just sayin. They got trump on the ropes but will need to be extremely nimble to fend off what is coming too. This biden thing is a little foretaste of that. It is only by the luck of timing that most of them are not interested in Biden now and are willing to blow his legs off to get at trump. Otherwise, if he were their leading candidate and the only viable one they had, this impeachment thing would not be working for them AT ALL. Damaging your frontrunner is too big a price to pay while you are rallying your opponents base. Same risk lies ahead. Some of the horowitz/durham investigations are going to go deep into Obamaville. Not sure that the forever investigation mentality will be as productive for them then.

No punchline here . Just sayin, as a point in time, they are having their fun with this impeachment thing. But they got some some stuff ahead they need to cross over too. Oh, and nothing changes the fact that they do not have the votes in the Senate.

Joe Biden is ending Joe Biden's campaign. Between his impersonation of a stuttering Mr. Magoo at the debates to his video of him talking about Ukraine and all of his other missteps, his window was 2016. Much like Eli Manning, he is going to be benched.

We dont have to try the case here. Joe and Hunter will be properly subject to examination at trial in the Senate and whether Joe and Hunter were participating in corruption is key issue in the question of whether Trump had a reasonable basis for flagging this as an example of corruption that needed to be discussed with the Attorney General.

If Joe wants to testify that he did not even know that his son was on the board and that he thought that his regular trips to the Ukraine were just because he loves borscht, well, then go for it.

Not to forget too that there are Ukranians in the prosecutors office past and present and Burisma execs who have baggage and are willing to testify from that angle.

Might be able to find or create lots of new crimes too as the Senate trial progresses if it gets that far. Can probably find lots of new crimes for the Bidens, especially since the dems love witch-hunts.
