Impeachment 2.0

Dozens of former GOP officials reportedly met last week to discuss mounting a new anti-Trump party
The talk on Friday, which Reuters reported included former elected Republicans and officials from the last four GOP administrations, touched on whether to launch a new center-right party, said Evan McMullin, the former chief policy director for the House Republican Conference, who co-hosted the call.

“Some people at the summit strongly favor starting a new party,” McMullin, who ran as an independent presidential candidate in 2016, told The Washington Post on Wednesday. “They think the GOP is irredeemable. They understand how difficult it is to form a new party, but they understand that there is no other choice.”
What are the going to call it, the anti Trump party? Maybe the Orange man bad party? Let me think of a name for a party that is primarily run as we hate Trump, oh yeah, democratic party. See, that wasn't so difficult.

Faulty logic. You're incorrectly assuming that only one group at a time can hate Trump.

I'm just trying to be efficient. No need for a whole new party as we already have one that is laser focused on Trump. Saves us time and money.

I think their idea is not to become Dems, but also not to be Trumpist.

Despite what you and other Trump (former?) followers believe, it's not all about Trump.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil--not because it's all about that wheel--but only because it's squeaky.

Non-cultist Republicans hate Trump. Because he soiled and infected their party. Some evidently think irreparably so.

It’s been a downhill run for these guys for a long time now. The moment the republicans were able to get their supporters to believe climate change is a hoax and tax cuts for the rich will create jobs they invited any con artist to come in and take over the party with nonsense like mexico will pay for a border wall. There’s a substantial and motivated portion of the right wing voter base that now will believe anything any right wing politician tells them.

Agreed. Trump's not hated by the GOP for soiling their party, after all, they love his corrupt policies. It's being uncouth about his corruption and disdain for others that shone a spot light on what was always there.
